Dear Parents Lord Mahavir Jain Public School Holidays Homework Class-III Its vacation time again! The uphill task of keeping your little ones fruitfully occupied must be the top most priority in your mind. Some interesting, innovative and creative project work has been planned for your children to enable them to widen their horizon. Kindly allow them to do the work under your guidance and supervision. Do visit museums and monuments with your children to help them explore and learn about the rich culture and heritage of India. Encourage your children to observe the sign boards and note down the instructions written on them for class discussion. Health is wealth- Accompany your children to the neighbourhood park and encourage them for a morning walk and simple yoga exercises. Setting up a routine is a must to inculcate good habits. Let your child plan his/her daily routine for a week. Wishing all of you a very enjoyable and fun packed summer break. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: All the work should be hand-written and done neatly. Original drawings / illustrations and creative use of material will be appreciated. Books can be our best friends. 1. Holidays Home Work English Make a word chain. The last two letters of the word should be from the first two letters of the next word. Maths 1. Write a table of 2 on an A4 size sheet using things like buttons, matchsticks, ice cream sticks etc. (Roll No-5-10) 2. Make at least 5 different pictures with the help of tangrams shapes such as: duck, fish, hut, boat etc. (Roll No-10-15) 3. Make four addition or subtraction cards of the size 15cm by 9cm using coloured A4 size sheets. Paste the picture of your favourite cartoon you like the most on one side and on the other side write the addition or subtraction question. (Roll No-15-20) 4. Make different shapes like circle, triangle, square etc. using coloured clay and paste on an A4 size sheet. (Roll No-20-25) 5. Make a calender on A4 size sheet, decorate and mark important days: Holidays, birthdays, anniversary of your family on it(roll No-25-30). EVS 1. Collect ten wrappers of food items. Make a table and write down different nutrients present in them, note down their calories, manufacturing and expiring date.. (Roll No-1-5) 2. Visit to a botanical garden and collect different leaves and prepare a herbarium file.. (Roll No-5-10) 3. Cut out the column of weather forecast from 1st June to 15th June and write down the maximum and minimum temperature, humidity and rainfall. Compare the temperature of these 15 days.. (Roll No-10-15) 4. Make a diet chart from 1st June to 15th June and note down the name of food items eaten during breakfast, lunch and dinner.. (Roll No- 15-20) 5. Paste 5 pictures of healthy food and 5 pictures of juck food on A-4 sheet. (Roll No-20-25)

6. Paste 5 pictures of green vegetables that you like to eat on A-4 sheet (Roll No-25-30) 7. Bring all the work in a beautifully decorated hand made folder. (Roll No-30-35) Revise all work done in class. Have great holidays and enjoy yourself to your heart's content.
