Far Post The January 2013 issue of the Far Post went out to over 700 households. Hard copies were dropped off at both the Indoor Arena and Kicks & Sticks. The Far Post is also posted on the BYSLSOCCER.ORG website. This issue has TONS of information regarding the Spring 2013 soccer season. If you didn t receive a copy, please download it off the BYSL website, or pick one up at the Indoor Arena or at Kicks & Sticks. The next Far Post is due out in June, 2013. District II The Snake River League Commitment Sheet should have been mailed out to every head coach from U12-U18. (If the coaches did not receive a copy, they can download it off the BYSL website at byslsoccer.org OR they can contact Dean Cook at (pigsrus21@gmail.com) and request a copy of the SRL Commitment Sheet Form. This form is DUE back February 20 th. NOTE: Please pay special attention to the tournament dates you plan on attending and the weekends you are available so they do not conflict. If you have a special request, please be sure to mark it on the form. However, as a friendly reminder, with over 100 teams up and down the valley, including Jackson and Twin Falls teams coming into the mix NOT every request will be able to be honored, (but as District II Scheduler, Dean, will do his best to cover as many special requests as possible). For additional dates of interest pertaining to the Snake River League, please read the front page of the SRL Form word document. Upcoming Referee Courses: (1) USSF Entry Level (Grade 8) 2013: Thursday, Feb 21, 6:00 to 10:00 PM; Friday, Feb 22, 6:00 to 10:00 PM; Thursday, Feb 28, 6:00 to 10:00 PM; Friday, Mar 1, 6:00 to 10:00 PM; Idaho Falls Parks and Recreation Activity Center; at 1575 North Skyline Drive: (on the road to the airport). IYSA Bobbi Tracy reminded the board that a coach in Coeur d Alene has been sanctioned for 2 years for verbal abuse at youth referees during a match and after on Facebook. Be careful of what you say in any public form. Also, as the new season is right around the corner, please remind ALL coaches to be kind to the referees. The state has reported that we had less referees recertify this year throughout the state than ever before. If you are unhappy with a referee, there is a process that you can express your concerns BUT the field (and especially during the game) IS NOT it. Please be kind to your referees. And remember, the referee courses are posted above, you are welcome to come and certify.

New Business No new business. Dean Cook adjourned the meeting. The next BYSL Board meeting will be held Thursday, March February 7 th, at 8pm at the Idaho Falls Activity Center, 1575 N.
