Mission Statement: The Roxiticus Professional Staff is dedicated to helping our juniors develop golf and life skills through a variety of fun and competitive programs both on and off the golf course. We seek to provide the ultimate learning and playing environment for your child in an enjoyable and social atmosphere that will benefit all skill levels.
Coach CJ CJ Nafus grew up in Millstone New Jersey and has been involved in the game of golf since the age of 10. He pursued a career in golf and attended Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina where he received a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in golf management in 2012. CJ has interned at Manasquan River Golf Club, Somerset Hills Golf Club, and Roxiticus Golf Club. After graduation he was the First Assistant Golf Professional at Hidden Creek Golf Club until he accepted a position as an Assistant Golf Professional at Roxiticus. He is now going into his third full season at Roxiticus and he is focusing his attention towards becoming a top instructor in the game of golf. Junior Play Regulations All sons and daughters of active golf members who are between the ages of 8 and 12 are permitted to use the golf course according to their classification as follow: Yellow Bag Tags For those juniors who have not passed the written test and who have not scored a 60 or better for nine holes from the forward tees while accompanied by an adult. Privileges include availability to the course weekdays and weekends after 3pm. Juniors Must Play Accompanied by an Adult Red Bag Tags For those juniors who have passed the written test and have scored a 60 or better for nine holes from the forward tees while accompanied by an adult. Privileges include availability to the course Tuesday anytime, Wednesday anytime, Thursday after 11am, and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday after 3pm, unescorted. Those juniors MUST check in the Pro Shop prior to play. The Professional Staff will distribute all bag tags and will witness the taking of the written test. Green Bag Tags For those select juniors who show exceptional skill level. This tag will be given to a junior, who after playing with a member of the Professional Staff, shows an outstanding playing ability, a keen and mature understanding of the etiquette, rules, pace of play, and overall knowledge of the game of golf. The distribution of a Green Tag will be at the sole discretion of the Professional Staff and will be dependent on ALL of the above qualifications. The Golf Professional and his assistants reserve the right to take away any bag tag if they see poor etiquette, misuse of equipment, or mistreatment of the golf course by a junior golfer Juniors Ages 13-17 17: Juniors aged 13-17 have privileges to play the golf course Tuesday and Wednesday anytime, Thursday after 11:00 am, and Friday, Saturday and Sunday after 3:00 pm. In order to be allowed these privileges, all juniors must pass a written test given by the Pro Shop. Juniors in the age group not taking the test will only have the privileges outlined by the Yellow Bag Tag above. 5

Advanced Junior Coaching Program Our Mission: To coach the serious junior (Age is not a requirement for this program) to help take their game to the next level. PGA Junior Golf League PGA Junior League Golf (PGA JLG) is designed to better socialize the game for boys and girls, ages 13 and under. PGA JLG features team vs. team competitions in structured leagues that provide a popular, less stressful scramble format as opposed to stroke-play competition. This is a great way to get kids involved in the game! PGA Junior League Matches will be held late in the day, either after school or late afternoon on a weekend. Our match schedule will be announced Mid-May. Our team can expect to play 5 total matches. Ages: 8-13 Junior League Sign-up Step 1: Go to www.pgajlg.com Step 2: Click sign-up in the upper right hand corner Step 3: Under find a team search Roxiticus Step 4: Click register in the bottom right hand corner Step 5: If your junior has played in previous years enter your log-in information. Junior Interclub Join the Junior Interclub team for a fun and competitive golf experience. Interested juniors must have experience in playing and completing 9 or 18-holes in a timely manner, have a keen understanding of proper etiquette and an advanced sense of the game. Juniors will have a chance to play some great local courses such as: Roxiticus Fairmount Somerset Hills Mendham Trump Bedminster Junior Interclub has 2 divisions: The 9-hole division for ages 14 and under and 18-hole division for ages 18 and under through their final year of high school. Junior Tour The Junior Tour is designed for the avid junior golfer between the ages of 10-17 looking for a fun and competitive golfing experience. Junior golfers will be competing in a yearlong competition to become the first Junior Golfer of the Year at Roxiticus Golf Club! Below is the point system that will be awarded during each junior tour day. On each date juniors will be teeing off at 4:00 pm and will be put into 2 different divisions based on skill level. Juniors will play either 5 or 9-holes. Drive, Chip, and Putt Championship For registration, rules, qualifying dates, or any other information please visit: www.drivechipandputt.com A joint initiative founded in 2013 by the Masters Tournament, United States Golf Association and The PGA of America, the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship is a free nationwide junior golf development competition aimed at growing the game by focusing on the three fundamental skills employed in golf. By tapping the creative and competitive spirits of girls and boys ages 7-15, the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship provides aspiring junior golfers an opportunity to play with their peers in qualifiers around the country. Participants who advance through local, sub-regional and regional qualifying in each age/gender category earn a place in the National Finals, which is conducted at Augusta National Golf Club the Sunday before the Masters Tournament and is broadcast live by Golf Channel. 16
