About our Camp Director Coach Mark Hobbs joined the CHS faculty in 2014 after moving his family from NJ. He has been in Christian education since 2004 and currently teaches Bible, Health, Physical Education, and also coaches Varsity Boys Basketball. Mark is passionate about his calling as a teacher-coach-mentor because, it is a ministry that allows me to impact the hearts and minds of youth for the glory of God. This summer, Mark s wife, Angela, will be joining the camp staff. She has volunteered at camp the past two summers and is excited to join us in a part time role. She received her Elementary Education degree and has three years teaching experience. The Hobbs family lives in Trumbull and attend Black Rock Congregational Church in Fairfield. Meet our Camp Staff Erika Conlan (Assistant Camp Director)- Erika is in her third summer working for CHS Summer Camp. She is a junior at Southeastern Christian University majoring in Elementary Education. Previously, she attended Emmanuel College in Boston, majoring in Theater Arts. Erika loves to cook, exercise, shop at thrift stores, and hang out with her awesome family. Her favorite color is purple. Peter Ziegler (Active Games Coordinator) - Peter is in his fifth summer working at CHS Summer Camp, where he started as a volunteer, and is now in his third summer officially on staff. He is a 2017 graduate of CHS where he studied in the Early University program, as well as started on the varsity basketball team. Peter has a servant s heart and loves kids, both of which he learned from his mother, Stacie Ziegler, a PE teacher at CHS. Rachel Mack (Arts and Crafts Coordinator) - Rachel will be joining CHS Summer Camp for the first time this summer since 2014 after she graduated from CHS. Rachel is currently a junior at Geneva College majoring in Elementary and Middle School Education. Both of her parents are CHS faculty members, and she aspires to be a teacher one day too. Rachel loves Pinterest, hanging out with her sisters, and being outside. Allie Conlan (Recreational Coordinator) - Allie is in her second summer working at our camp. She will be a senior at Trumbull High in the Agriscience program. Allie was a great addition to the staff last summer in a part time role and is looking forward to working full time this year. She has a well-rounded personality that appreciates sports, the arts, and slowing down to read a good book. Other CHS Summer Camp counselors and volunteers round out an amazing staff that love kids, work hard, and are talented in many, many ways!
