More information on notice board and next Sharks bite. Awesome Basketball Quotes Here are some basketball quotes by famous players and coaches that I have hand picked as some advice to our members and players here at Sutherland. The thing I love the most about teaching, is that you can connect with and see an individual or a group exceed their limits Mike Krzyzeski Duke Bluedevils What do you as a player do to help us win when you re not scoring baskets? John Calipari Kentucky Wildcats I can t make every decision for you. I don t have 14 timeouts. You guys have to get together and communicate on the floor. Greg Popovich San Antonio Spurs Im looking for activity. I put players in and take them out based on effort and defence, not if they make or miss shots Doc Rivers LA Clippers Over coaching is the worst thing you can do to a player Dean Smith North Carolina University
Page 5 Sharks Page 5 Bite 6/8/2015: U14B2 blue Semi-final (Sharks lost 43 to Blacktown 45) Sharks were confident going into this game as they strive for their 13th straight win. BUT it wasn't meant to be as the Sharks boys led for most of the game, at one stage being up by 9 points, ONLY to see them go down by 2 points in the last minute of the game. Sharks found themselves in foul trouble with our point guard uncharacteristically fouling-out and then Blacktown gained the momentum. Still it was a very close game right to the last dying seconds. It wasn't meant to be for the top of the table Sharks HOWEVER we still have a 2nd chance as we now have an opportunity to get to the Grand Final by beating Hills this coming weekend in the preliminary final. This just might be the 'wake-up' call the boys need, to now be hungrier than ever, and fight for that second spot in the grand final. Watch out Hills you are now in the way of the Sharks path to the grand finals - Bring it!!!! Sharks it's now time to play ball!!! GO SHARKS!!!!' 13/8/2015 U14B2 Sharks Blue vs Hills (Sharks won 61-44) Last week's loss was the game we needed to remind us no one is unbeatable and the team that wants it the most usually wins. As the game started, both teams looked a bit nervous but the early baskets from the Sharks settled the nerves quickly. Our outside shooters came to play this week as we found the back of the net on many occasions. Hills couldn't get their rhythm and our Bigs were 'bull-dozing' their way into the paint, often leading to and AND-1 situation. It was a physical contest at one stage I saw 4 Sharks players with ice-packs on their injured limbs?!?. Regardless the smell of the win had the Sharks circling and continued their tight defence to win in the end by 17 points and book our place in next week's Grand final! Well played Sharks! Win or lose the grand final the boys had a fantastic season! Thanks Coach Obi - Now let's see if we can get that win next week to claim the championship- GO SHARKS!
