Girls T20 Smash U13 Playing Cnditins 1. Team Cmpsitin Maximum 9 n the field. Players shuld be Under 13 n September 1. Hurs f Play & Over Rate Saturday Mrning T20 (Open Pink Grade): 9.30am 12.00pm. The first innings shuld cnclude n later than 10.40am. Tuesday Night T20 (Open White Grades separate reginal cmpetitins befre and after Christmas): 5pm 7.30pm (Games can start later right up until 6pm with prir agreement frm caches/managers frm bth sides). The first innings shuld cnclude by 6.10pm r n mre than 1 hur and 10 minutes frm the start time. 6. Caches All Caches are t have cmpleted the Advanced Fundatins Caching Curse. All n field caching shuld be dne quickly t ensure n delays. Only umpires, caches r managers can prvide n field caching. 7. Length f Innings T20. Maximum 20 vers. The secnd innings shall cnsist f the same number f vers bwled in the first innings (r 20 vers if the team batting first has been dismissed in less than 20 vers), prviding that a result is nt reached befrehand. Determinatin f Result: When the team batting secnd passes the ttal f the team that batted first and all batters in the secnd innings have either been dismissed r retired nce r the full alltment f available vers is cmpleted, whichever cmes first, the team batting secnd will at that pint be determined t be the winner f the game. Shuld the team that is bwling in the secnd innings dismiss the team batting secnd r the full alltment f available vers is cmpleted and the secnd innings scre is less than the first innings scre, whichever cmes first, the team bwling secnd will at that pint be determined t be the winner f the game. CricHQ will say the game is ver when the team batting secnd passes the scre f the first team. IGNORE THIS AND CONTINUE AS THE RESULT IS ONLY DETERMINED AS ABOVE. 8. Pitch Length 18m. Use marked lines at ne end and cnnect the tw marks prvided by cntractrs at the ther end fr the bwlers end stumps and a further 1.22m fr the ppping crease. It is the hme team s respnsibility t ensure the pitch length and bundaries are marked accurately. The tw sides are nt permitted under any circumstances t agree t different pitch lengths and bundaries. If these are nt fllwed, the hme team is subject t lsing the game by default. 9. Bundaries 35m circle t be marked by cnes. The bundary must be measured frm the batter s end. Fielding Exclusin Zne Markers are placed 18m square either side f the stumps at batter s end. The square leg umpire is t psitin at the 18m marker. The fielding exclusin zne is deemed t be frm the umpire behind the stumps at the bwler s end, t the markers either side f the stumps at the batter s end. Excluding the bwler, fielders may nly enter the exclusin zne after the batter has played their sht. Excluding the bwler, fielders may nly enter the exclusin zne after the batter has played their sht. If players encrach early, the umpire will signal and call a 'n ball'. Fielders shuld field in prper cricket fielding psitins utside f the fielding exclusin zne. Weather Affected Matches Declared a draw if 20 vers fr T20 in each innings is nt pssible due t weather cnditins. 13. Intervals Maximum f 10 minutes between innings fr T20 and a maximum f 30 minutes fr Limited Overs (teams t agree n later than the start f the innings break the length f the break). One drinks break, nt exceeding 4 minutes, may be taken midway thrugh each innings. 14. Dismissals All batters get multiple lives within the first 6 balls (wides and n balls cunted). If a batter is dismissed after facing 6 balls they are ut (i.e. the 7 th ball is the first ball where if they are ut they leave the field). Batters swap ends after each dismissal within 6 balls and the delivery is treated as a penalty -3 and the bwler gets credited fr each wicket. 15. Stumpings Yes. 16. LBWs and Mankads N LBW s r Mankads are allwed. Umpires can ask a batter t take guard n middle stump. Umpires are t ensure backing up batters d nt leave early. Umpires can call dead ball. 17. Uneven Team Numbers A team may bat 1 player twice if they have less than 9 players, but the returning batter must be the lwest scring batter (dismissed). A dismissed batter may nly return after any retired batters have returned. The batting team must prvide up t 2 players t assist with fielding nly if the ppsitin team has less than 9 players wh bat. These players may be rtated as the need arises. 18. N balls / Wides Nrmal cricket laws apply. Any delivery which passes (r wuld have passed) abve the batter s shulder, r any full-tss which passes (r wuld have passed) abve the batter s waist, shall be called a n-ball. Any delivery that bunces utside f the pitch will autmatically be deemed a n ball. If a bwler, in the tw umpire s pinins, bwls tw dangerus deliveries within an ver, the umpires can instruct the bwler t finish the ver bwling slwer deliveries. If a bwler is struggling t bwl frm the 18m pitch, it is encuraged that they be allwed by umpires t bwl frm a shrter distance. Umpires must agree wide-lines befre the start f play. There shall be n restrictin n the number f wides r n-balls which may be called in an ver, but maximum 6 deliveries per ver. The last ver has n maximum deliveries. Length f Overs A maximum f 6 deliveries per ver (including wides/n balls). The last ver has n maximum deliveries. 21. Bwling Restrictins T20: Maximum 4 vers per player. All players must bwl minimum 2 vers. A minimum f 3 vers f spin/slw bwling per innings. A cne shuld be placed 15m behind the stumps at the bwler s end t mark the maximum run up allwed. Any bwler that starts their run up beynd the cne will be deemed t have bwled a n ball. N player may bwl their third ver until all players ther than the wicket keeper have bwled tw vers. 22. Retirement/Batters Returning T20 Cmpetitin: Cmpulsry retirement f batters after 18 balls faced i.e. wides and n balls are cunted. Retired batters may nly return at the end f the innings in the rder they first retired (i.e. first retired batter returns first, next retired batter returns next and s n). Batters cannt be retired early unless injured. Returning batter cannt be retired a 2nd time nce returned t the crease. Nte: Manipulating batting s that batters deliberately get ut (batting side) t bring back better batters r deliberately nt getting batters ut (bwling side) t stp better batters cming back, are bth against the spirit f cricket. 23. Fielding T speed up games and manage verlapping bundaries, bwling is frm ne end fr the entire match. T ensure a fast game teams must rtate in the field i.e. each player mves clckwise after each ver. Bwlers will bwl in the rder f rtatin until minimum vers are bwled by all players ther than first wicket keeper (i.e. player fielding next t bwler n the nside will be the next bwler always and then after bwling will mve t the next fielding psitin n the ffside). Once minimum bwling vers are cmpleted, rtatin/bwling rder is determined by the Captain. Shuld the designated Captain nt be the wicket keeper r bwling, they may stand at first slip r mid ff and nt have t rtate ther than when bwling. N player may enter the fielding exclusin zne befre the batter has played their sht. 24. Wicketkeeper N mre than tw wicket keepers are t be used during an innings t ensure that the match is nt unduly delayed. Wicket keepers can nly be changed during a scheduled drinks break. 25. Umpiring Umpires t stay in psitin (at bwler s end r square leg) fr 10 vers then swap psitins fr each innings. Umpires are required t have cmpleted the free nline Umpires Caching Curse. We encurage the same umpires remain thrughut the game t ensure cnsistency. Umpires shuld prvide guidance t bth sides t assist with game develpment. All n field caching shuld be dne quickly t ensure n delays f games. 26. Exchange f Umpires 27. Music Allwed but umpires must umpire at least half an innings t ensure sme cnsistency fr the players, unless agreement t d therwise has been reached between the caches. The batting side is permitted t play music fr the batters t walk n and ff the field and during any breaks f play e.g. drinks break, innings break. This shuld nt delay the game. 28. Spirit f Cricket Rating Bth sides must cmplete a spirit f cricket rating fr the ppsitin in CricHQ. 29. Separatin f Players and Supprters Areas Befre and During Games All supprters are encuraged t attend games, hwever, t aid with develpment f players, supprters viewing areas must be setup at least 20m away frm the players area. Befre and during games, all supprters, are encuraged t stay away frm the players area where nly players/caches/managers/scrers can enter. Only umpires, caches r managers shuld prvide any befre r during game advice. 30. Grades Players frm any Saturday Pink Grade cannt play fr Saturday Sft Ball Grade teams withut a dispensatin frm ACA. Nte, ACA will try t schedule games t minimise travel and may nt be traditinal hme grunds fr either team. Players cannt play in finals fr any team they have nt played at least 4 games fr previusly withut ACA dispensatin. Players cannt play fr tw different teams within the same cmpetitin under any circumstances. ACA will divide entered teams int reginal cmpetitins fr this grade. Nte, ACA will try t schedule games t minimise travel and may nt be traditinal hme grunds fr either team. Players cannt play in finals fr any team they have nt played at least 4 games fr previusly withut ACA dispensatin. Tuesday T20 Cmpetitin One pl that will be frmed pre-christmas and each team within the pl will play each ther in tw runds ver 6 weeks. After pl play, the tp 4 teams will enter int semifinals and a final (semifinal 1 v 4, 2 v 3 in each cmpetitin)) Teams that did nt make the finals r are kncked ut will cntinue t play games as scheduled by ACA. After pl play, the tp 8 teams will enter int quarterfinals, semifinals and a final. Teams that did nt make the finals r are kncked ut will cntinue t play games as scheduled by ACA. Pl Pints: Win = 3 pints Tie r N Result = 1.5 pints Lss = 0 pints Nte Regarding Finals Series Games Please nte due t time cnstraints it is nt pssible t have a Bwl Off r Super Over fr these grades in the event f a tied game. In an eliminatin match where a winner must be fund (Quarter Final r Semi Final) if the game is tied at the end f the match the result will be awarded t the team with the highest seeding frm pl/league play ging int the match. E.g. If 3rd is playing 5th and the match is tied the 3rd place team shall prgress. This rule wuld als take affect if the game was abandned r washed ut. Fr the Final game if abandned r tied the trphy shall be shared between the 2 teams. Nte, fr the final game fr all full seasn cmpetitins, the final will be scheduled fr the secnd t last playing date, allwing a rain date fr the final playing date shuld it be required. Shuld bth playing dates fr the final game be abandned, the trphy shall be shared between the 2 teams. Shuld the rain date nt be required, the last playing date will have a game scheduled s teams play the fllwing years frmats i.e. fr Under 14 if the final playing date is nt used fr a final, teams will be scheduled t play a game using the fllwing grade Under 16 frmat. 31. Weather Cancellatins ACA will cancel all junir and yuth mrning cricket shuld there be an Auckland weather advisry frm the Metservice advising that it is unsafe t travel t games. ACA checks fr advisries cnstantly and will cmmunicate thrugh the ACA website, Facebk and email t all Club Managers. Caches / managers if yu are unsure if the game is n we encurage yu t use the cntact list yur club shuld have prvided yu t call the ppsitin team cach/manager t discuss this. If a mutual agreement cannt be made the hme team manager has final say n pitch cnditin and playability. If a game is abandned, the hme team cach/manager must enter the game as abandned n CricHQ immediately. If cntact cannt be made with ppsitin team cach/manager r club manager, cntact ACA. If ACA receives a call frm an away team advising they cannt cntact the hme team cach/manager r club manager at 7am r later, ACA has the ability t deem the fixture as abandned if ACA believes the weather will nt allw a fixture t be played. If in any dubt, please ensure yu arrive at the grund n time t avid a default. 32. Defaults If a Team defaults a match fr any reasn the fllwing penalties shall be incurred: (i) First default: The Team and Club t which the defaulting Team belngs shall receive a warning f the cnsequences f a further default. (ii) Secnd default: The Team defaulting shall frfeit 3 Cmpetitin pints, will be fined $100 and its Club shall receive a final warning. (iii) Third default: The Team defaulting shall be debarred frm participating in the remainder f the Cmpetitin.
