Even though we were instructed on how to do the same painting, our unique-ness came shining through on every painting. It was a blast, and I want to thank all the women that came out and joined us. My photos are on Facebook if you are interested in seeing them. An LOH dinner ride will be on August 19, meeting at the Hog Room at 6 pm leaving shortly thereafter. Destination unknown:) Diane Snell graciously donated a 10 person wine tasting event. The first 10 women who are interested in attending will decide on the date. Location: Studio Winery in Lake Geneva. The tasting is approximately 1 hour. Email me if you are interested in this event ASAP. Direct from the Director Finally it is wonderful riding weather so I hope all of you are putting on the miles. For those who have signed up for the Iron Butt this is an especially good time to be riding. The July picnic and meeting had an excellent turn out and I would like to thank Chef Paul and his assistants for the wonderful food provided. Also thanks to all who brought something to share with their fellow HOG brothers and sisters. Joan I m still waiting for those home made cookies! I also heard it was a good ride out from Uke s with several members not knowing where they were and how to get home. The HOG pen is shaping up with our purchase of used chairs and new round tables. A new PA system is on order and should be here before the meeting so that you do not miss any important news. Vicki received her new refrigerator at home so we have donated our old one to be used for soda at the meetings. The chapter will fill it up the first time and sales will keep it stocked. Keith has donated the use of his truck to get it from Lake Geneva to Kenosha. I hope that everyone is supporting the Road Captains by going on their rides. They have put in a lot of effort to provide us with ways of enjoying or Harley s. See you at the August 10 th meeting and remember it starts at 9:00AM so that people can attend the ride out of Texas Roadhouse to support housing our Troops. Ken Robers Hi Everyone! July was a crazy fun month around here; let s keep that up for August! Homes for our Troops ride is August 10 th with Texas Roadhouse. Starts at Texas Roadhouse 8am 10am with a huge breakfast, take the ride and then all to meet back at here for a BBQ, live music and incredible raffle prizes. It is going to be a great time and the best part is all the money collected is going directly to the Homes for our Troops organization. Out on the east coast this ride has been going on the last 11 years and they have raised $1,000,000 for the organization. We need to make that happen here! August 23 rd is Ride the Wind Day! What a perfect day to take a nice ride and enjoy the summer! Meet here @ 9:30am and Keith will lead the ride back here for a cookout! We are also gearing up for the Fall Open House September 5 th, 6 th & 7 th! You will be getting details soon. Keith will be leading a ride to the Kansas City Plant on September 13 th 15 th. He is working on the route now which is planning to run along the Mississippi. To sign up email Brenda@ukeshd.com. The Uke s Team p.s. Keith is very close to 10,000 miles how far are you? 3

Greengs from your Head Road Captain, Hope that everyone is out pung miles on your bikes. By the me we meet at our next chapter meeng we will have had several rides. Paul will have led his Monroe Cheese ride, Keith will have had his Museum VIP Ride, Sandy will have led her Ke*le Moraine and I will have taken a group to Frank s Diner in Kenosha for brunch. Not including the opportunies to go on dinner rides, we have eight rides during the month of August. Starng in August our dinner rides will be occurring on Thursday nights. We will be also helping with the Home for Our Troops that is being adversed on the Ukes website. During the next few weeks lets get out there and ride. Keep the shiny side up. Gym (847)217-3552 gymfwy@comcast.net P.S. If you are uncomfortable riding in groups or would like to put some me on your bike, please contact me and I will try to make me to go on rides to help you become a more comfortable ride. 4
