YWCA WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES Helping women walk away from family violence. Sponsorship Opportunity YWCA Edmonton will be holding the 4 th annual Walk A Mile In Her Shoes event on September 10 th, 2013. This is an exciting community fundraiser that sees over 200 men slip in to stilettos and strut their stuff in Sir Winston Churchill Square; raising eyebrows and funds for YWCA programs. Each year this event attracts almost every media outlet in the city and hundreds of spectators. This year we look to raise $100,000 to provide family violence prevention and recovery programs including our Counselling Centre, Lakeside Haven family violence healing retreats and the GirlSpace youth empowerment programs.
