The Queen of Queens title is the highlight of The Hawaii Boa Arts Ball each year. Contenders for this crown will showcase beauty, charm, elegance, and grace. It is a prestigious title whose rich legacy extends back a few decades. It began as a solo pageant at The Glade Show Cocktail Lounge in 1967, crowning the winner at midnight on New Year s Eve. In 1991, it was combined with Closet Queen and Golden Goddess forming the first three-crown pageant in Hawaii. It was always held around July 4, which is the reason behind the red, white, and blue theme. It will continue on July 15, 2018 with the stepping down of Khiyane Royale (Queen of Queens 2017), and the crowning of the new Queen of Queens 2018. If crowned Queen of Queens, there are certain duties that are required in order to fulfill your reign. Your $1000 earnings as Queen of Queens depends on your follow through and accomplishments. You will receive $600 the night of the pageant, and $100 for each of the following duties (if they have been met or approved by the producer or production team) upon stepdown: * Attend at least three (3) official pageants, representing The Hawaii Boa Arts Ball and your title as Queen of Queens (all pageant tickets will be paid for by The Hawaii Boa Arts Ball) * March in the 2018 Honolulu Pride Parade in your crown and sash, alongside your Closet Queen and Golden Goddess October 28, 2018 * Volunteer or create a team at The 28 th Annual Honolulu AIDS Walk put on by The Life Foundation, one of our proud sponsors * Participate in the 2019 Hawaii Boa Arts Ball by choreographing the opening production (alongside Closet Queen 2018 and Golden Goddess 2018), performing a solo(optional), and completing your stepdown performance There are expectations as Queen of Queens, as you will become a reflection of The Hawaii Boa Arts Ball: * Have a clean image, and exemplify a positive role model at all times * Honor and fulfill all scheduled appearances for The Hawaii Boa Arts Ball Pageant * Be prompt and on-time for every appearance, event, or meeting required by The Hawaii Boa Arts Ball pageant; and provide your own transportation, wardrobe, music, or any other items necessary * Provide all necessary photographs, ads, thank yous, and music as required for The Hawaii Boa Arts Ball Pageant 2019 on June 1, 2019 * Refrain from competing in or representing any other pageant until your reign is complete
