Following an eight-point performance (5-3-8) in Cleveland s past two games, Dalpe was named the CCM/AHL Player of the Week on Tuesday. Currently in the midst of a three-game goal-scoring streak (6G) and matching three-game point streak (6-3-9), Dalpe s four power-play goals also currently rank tied for third-most in the AHL this season. ROOKIE SENSATION: Monsters LW Eric Robinson currently ranks tied for second league-wide among first-year skaters in points (11) and tied for third among rookies in goals (5). BERUBE S BEEN BUSY: Cleveland G Jean-Francois Berube currently ranks fifth league-wide in both total saves (222) and minutes played (477:25). HOT HANDS: Monsters C Mark Letestu is currently in the midst of a four-game point streak (3-2-5), while Cleveland C Alex Broadhurst (1-2-3) and Monsters LW and captain Nathan Gerbe (0-3-3) each supplied three points in their past two appearances. VOGELHUBER S NEW ROLE: The Monsters received exciting news on October 23rd when the team s NHL affiliate, the Columbus Blue Jackets, announced 2016 Calder Cup Champion forward Trent Vogelhuber, previously competing with the Monsters on a professional tryout (PTO) contract, had retired effective immediately following a six-year playing career and was subsequently hired as an Assistant Coach with the Monsters. A true Ohio hockey product, Vogelhuber was born in the Cleveland area, was raised in the Columbus area, competed collegiately for Miami (OH) University and was the first Columbus resident selected by the Blue Jackets in the NHL Entry Draft (2007, 7th rd., 211th overall) in franchise history.
