All events are TIMED FINALS. All events will be swum as mixed gender. Entry mes long course. Times may be converted from SC mes. NO TIME will not be accepted. Meet Director reserves the right to restrict event numbers if entries exceed the nominated me frame. Entry process: Entries to be submi ed via the SNZ Na onal database. Individuals will be able to access and complete their entries online via the database. If they place their entries with their Club Recorder then the Club Recorders will be responsible for entering them online via the SNZ database. Entry Fees: Individual entry $8.00. GST inclusive. Entries : Open : Tuesday 4th October Close : Midnight, Sunday 4 December 2016. Payment of Fees: CONDITIONS OF ENTRY Online: Via the Swimming New Zealand database By Cheque: Post to Swimming Waikato Inc Private Bag 3091, Hamilton. Internet Banking: ASB a/c no. 12 3122 0312567 00 Payments by cheque must be from the Club Account and be accompanied by a Meet Entry Fee Report. There will be no refunds on entry fees except as per the scratching rules. Submission of Entries cons tutes acceptance of these Meet Rules and Condi ons. Para swimmers are eligible to compete at this meet and shall compete under IPC Swimming Rules. Para swimmers must present their classifica on card to the Meet Director prior to the commencement of the meet. Late entries will be at the Meet Director s discre on based on lane space availability, late entry fee $10.00 per event. Psych sheets will be circulated once entries have been closed. Each Club is responsible for checking names, entries and events are correct on receipt of informa on and advising Swimming Waikato of any errors by Thursday 8th Dec. Correc ons will only be made to entries where errors have occurred. Final psych sheets will be posted on the website and sent out to par cipa ng clubs on Monday 12 December 2016. Par cipants who have entered this meet agree to allow photograph, video, mul media or film likeness taken by accredited photographers approved by Swimming Waikato to be used for any legi mate purpose by Swimming Waikato, a Club affiliated to Swimming Waikato, or local media. ** Relays to enter the Mums & Dads & Coaches vs Swimmers Relay a team of each must be entered from each club. Times will be unofficial this event is not part of the official meet. Entries for this event are to be emailed to Swimming Waikato admin@swimmingwaikato.co.nz. Entry fee per relay team is $5.00. This amount will be invoiced to the relevant club once entries close.

MEET CONDITIONS General The meet will be conducted under Swimming New Zealand s SNZ Regula ons and Bylaws, FINA Rules except where local meet rules and condi ons apply. All par cipants must agree to comply with the Sports An Doping Rules. Reseeding may be done at the discre on of the Meet Director. Electronic ming (touch pads & bu on back up) will be used at this meet, plus two mekeepers per lane. Over the top starts will apply for all events. Protests shall be lodged as per SNZ Regula on 4 accompanied with the $100 fee. Entry into the pool for backstroke events shall be feet first. No swim back permi ed. Please clear any strapping with the Meet Director prior to the start of racing. It is the swimmer s responsibility to ensure this is done. Depending on the number of entries, a staggered start may be enforced. Please exit the pool at the side. Do not swim over the lane ropes. Club sea ng plan will be posted on the Swim Waikato website and at the pool. Scratchings/Withdrawals All event scratchings received by 12.00pm (midday) on the day prior to the meet will be exempt from Entry Fees. Scratchings for the first session must be submi ed to the Control Room no later than 1 hour prior to the start of racing. For subsequent sessions, scratchings must be submi ed no later than 15 minutes a er the comple on of the session immediately prior to the session in which the scratching is to be effec ve. Swimmers will be deemed to have withdrawn if they do not report to the Clerk of Course (Marshall) at the appropriate me prior to their event. Officials Officials are required to report to the referee at the start of warm up please. Referees, IOTs & the Chief Timekeeper need to report in plenty of me. Earlier than the start of warm up is preferable. As per Swimming New Zealand regula ons, there is a minimum number and standard of officials required for a meet to be classed as approved and for those mes to be used for na onal qualifica on. Please note that Waterworld charges a $2 entry fee per day. PROGRAMMES This is a paperless meet. Final meet programmes will be uploaded onto the Swimming Waikato website by Monday the 12th of December 2016. WARM UP Lane One shall be for Para Swimmers (if required) and Lanes 7 and 8 will be sprint lanes for the duration of each warm-up. Warm-up is the responsibility of the clubs, coaches and swimmers involved. Officials are not responsible for managing or controlling the warm-up procedures. MARSHALLING All swimmers must marshal for their events. Swimmers should be in the marshalling area four (4) races prior to their event for distances of 200m and under and at least two (2) races prior for 400m events. As per the Swimming New Zealand regulations there is a minimum number and standard of officials required for a meet to be able to be classed as approved and for those times to be used for national qualification. And it s an opportunity for us to really get into the spirit of Christmas. Let us know if you d like to book any of Waterworld s facilities for your Team, ie. hydroslide passes, bbqs. MEET INFORMATION SHEET EMERGENCY & SAFETY PROCEDURES Under the Health & Safety At Work Act (2015) it is necessary for us to advise you of the hazards that may affect you whilst a ending a Swimming Waikato Meet. No fied Hazards Floor surfaces may be slippery when wet. No running. Stadium concrete & sea ng may be slippery when wet. Cau on around electronic cords (Star ng & Timing equipment) Please advise the Referee or pool staff if you observe a poten al hazard. Please ensure any young children are aware of these hazards. In General Please familiarize yourself with the pool layout, exits and equipment. And please take me to discuss with your Club how you will react and look a er your Club members in the case of an emergency. For evacua on Stay Calm Three(3) loud blasts on the whistle by the Referee shall clear the pool. Leave the pool complex as directed by Pool Staff or Swimming Waikato Technical Officials. Assemble in the Car Park area in front of the Main entrance. Assist Team Managers and Officials to evacuate the swimmers safely. Conduct a roll call to account for all persons (Children and Adults) in your Club. No fy the relevant emergency Services as required.
