MURRAYFIELD ICE SKATING CLUB Murrayfield Ice Skating Club Competition Regulations 1. The Competition will take place at Murrayfield Ice Rink, Edinburgh on 29th & 30th April, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th May 2016. Murrayfield is a 60m x 30m ice pad. 2. All competitors are required to be eligible skaters as defined by NISA and may only skate within the events for which they are qualified by age and standard. The Competition will be held in accordance with NISA under Permit, (applied for), and it is a requirement that all competitors are a member of NISA. Skaters who have not paid their NISA membership at the time of the draw will not be entered into the draw and therefore will be unable to participate in the competition. All participants must quote their NISA membership number on the entry form or the entry cannot be accepted. 3. Coaches entering skaters for the event must be licensed and have attended a Field Moves seminar (all events) and a discipline specific IJS seminar at the NISA coaching conference within the last 3 years if entering skaters into an IJS event. It is important the correct information is provided by the coach as entry forms submitted with incorrect information will be returned to the skater without being accepted for the competition. 4. The competitions will be open to all NISA members and the number of entrants in each will be limited by ice time available. Competitions may be subdivided by age at the discretion of the organising committee and the Referee. Age and Standard are as at closing date 4th April 2016. 5. All events will be judged under the IJS except Beginner Couples. 6. Entries to all competitions will be treated strictly on a first received basis. In competitions with only one competitor, the referee may require that the skater should skate to standard. The competitor will be given the opportunity to withdraw or skate as preferred. Any competitor affected will be notified following the closing date. 7. A programme element sheet is required for all skaters. Please complete this (elements and timings) even if the elements and order are subject to change. Entries will not be accepted for IJS events without this, resulting in the application form being returned to the skater without it being registered for the event. 8. Standards in all events refer to NISA National Tests and these must be attained by the closing date. The test standards will be strictly adhered to, and if this changes prior to the closing date, notification to the competition organiser is required immediately. Although the organisers will do their best to accommodate skaters, test passes do not automatically give the right for entry to be accepted to the new standard/level attained in particular if the event is already at the maximum number of competitors. 9. There will be no maximum level of Field Moves in any section. 10. A copy of the Skate UK passport must be supplied with entry for all Beginner competitions. 11. Music must be submitted on CD and be clearly marked with the competitors name, competition and length of programme. There should only be one piece of music on the CD. The music on the CD s must be music format playable on a CD player. A back-up of the music is recommended and must be with the Coach at ice level. Please do not use re-writeable CD s. 12. The use of video equipment or photography is not permitted at any time. The committee and rink management reserves the right to confiscate any offending equipment, returning it only at the end of the event. An official photographer and videographer may be present during the event. To comply with the NISA child protection policy, all competitors consent to being photographed and videoed, by entering the event there is automatic acceptance that the skater may be photographed/videoed and that any images may be used by MISC for appropriate reasons only. Unauthorized photography/recording of any competitor is not permitted. The club are copyright owners of the event and all rights are reserved. Flash Photography is strictly forbidden during the event. This is dangerous and distracts the skater. Any unauthorised broadcasting, public performance, copying or re-recording will constitute an infringement of copyright (irrespective of the source from which the material was obtained). Permission is granted for personal, private use only
13. Entry Fees: Entry Fees are as follows: 47 per Singles skater (Beginner) 50 per Singles skater (Levels 1 to 10) for 1 segment and 90 for 2 segments at the same level 55 per Pair or Dance couple (Beginner -Senior) per segment Solo Dance skaters 50 for Pattern Dance (per event) 50 per segment Short Dance & Free Dance and 90 for 2 segments at the same level. The appropriate fee must accompany the entry form along with a stamped addressed envelope if wishing to receive confirmation by post. Cheques/P.O s should be made payable to MISC and crossed. Please print the competitors name and event on the reverse of all cheques. Entry fees are non-refundable after the closing date. Prior to the closing date there will be an administration fee of 15%. Please do not send cash in the post. Should a cheque be returned by the bank, the entry will not be accepted until the fee has been received by another means, including an administration fee of 15 to cover bank charges. Skaters cannot be accepted into the competition until the correct fee has been received. This includes tracker options as this method requires a signature. We cannot guarantee that there will be someone around to provide a signature and it will require to be collected at a later date. This could delay the receipt of the application and could result in the application being late and not accepted. 14. The closing date for entries is Monday 4th April 2016 at 5.30pm. If confirmation of receipt of application is required by post, please include a SAE with the entry form. All entrants will be notified by email - please ensure you supply the address on the entry form. Postage must be correct; notification of a letter at the post office will not be collected and hence the skater not accepted into the competition. 15. Details of the draw will be provided along with confirmation of entry and timetable after the closing date and will also be posted on our website www.murrayfield-isc.co.uk 16. These competitions may be subject to doping control under NISA rules and by the ISU. 17. Presentations will take place at the end of skating each day, or at other such suitable points as time allows. Medals and trophies will only be presented at the medal ceremony when the recipient stands on the rostrum. Winners of an event are responsible for the safekeeping and return of the trophy and a declaration form signed accordingly. All trophies must be returned in good condition at least 1 month before the event or at the request of Murrayfield ISC. 18. Murrayfield Ice Skating Club does not accept any responsibility for any loss of personal property or personal injury during this event. 19. The organisers of the Competition: a) Retain the right to refuse entry without reason assigned b) Retain the right of decision on all matters, their decision being final. 20. The personal details supplied by competitors on the application form will be held on computer files and used for the purposes of organising timetables, running the competitions, calculation of results from marks given by the judges, etc. Coach Details NISA licensed coaches wishing to enter skaters for these events must have attended the discipline specific IJS seminar at the Coaches Conference either in 2013, 2014 or 2015 to be accredited for this event. Any coach who has not yet attended the Coaches Conference may not now be accredited. Any IJS seminar prior to 2013 has now expired. A Field Moves seminar also must have been completed prior to the date of the competition This may have been completed prior to attendance of the Coaches Conference. If the coach named on the application form has not done so, the skater will be given the opportunity to name another coach or remove the coach s name from their entry
