We at FantasyDrafthelp.com always emphasize the wisdom of our VIP approach to drafting: information and process lead to value. Of course, value is the single most important component of drafting or auctions. Even in the fantasy industry, this point is often overlooked. In most cases, titles are won by patiently accruing value throughout a draft or auction. During the Information stage, fantasy owners compile information about players at individual positions. Process involves comparison of players across all of the positions. We put a tremendous amount of hard work into our draft board, and you do as well. As such, you need to trust the fruits of these labors and adhere to your draft board as much as possible. The surest way to be able to extract maximum value is to prepare extensively ahead of time and then refrain from jumping around on the board on Draft Day. Approach the draft with an actuarial mindset, determined to squeeze maximum value out of every pick, and you will be poised for success.

Some leagues allow the TE position to be WR or TE (in which case, only a few TEs merit any consideration) and some have a flex position, which is generally 1 additional RB or WR. With leagues who utilize defense, some deploy a team D/ST unit and some use individual D players. The most common scoring system is a variation of the following: 4 points per passing TD, 1 point per 25 yards passing, 1 point per passing 2-point PAT, 6 points per receiving or rushing TD, 1 point per 10 yards rushing or receiving, 2 points per rushing or receiving 2-point PAT, 2 points per big play touchdown (50 or more yards), 1 point per kicking PAT, 3 points per FG, with a 1-point bonus at 45 yards, a 2-point bonus at 50 yards and a 3-point bonus at 55 yards, 6 points per defensive or special teams TD, 1 point per interception, sack or fumble recovered and 2 points per safety. In leagues that award 6 points for passing TDs, QBs are worth much more. In simple English, imagine a spectrum going across from left to right, with negative numbers on the left side, a zero in the middle and positive numbers on the right side. We utilize this statistic for baseball, basketball, hockey and NASCAR as well as football. A player s performance in each category is plotted on one of these spectrums, with the most valuable players putting up most of their numbers on the most of their numbers on the positive side. Then, we add up the totals of every category, positive and negative. By using this tool, we can identify not merely how they performed, but how valuable their performances were in each category. Truly, this statistic serves as the ultimate baseline for the previous season s production.

Don t Be That Guy ^ Don t be that guy who is unprepared and whines in the mid to late rounds that everyone worth taking is already gone. They re not; you re just unprepared. ^ Don t be that guy who doesn t properly understand your league s scoring system. League setups are like snowflakes; no two are the same. Our draft board is configured to conform to a fairly basic scoring system, but your league could have some quirks that would force you to make adaptations to our board. Be aware. ^ Don t be that guy who doesn t pay enough attention and selects players who are already off the board. It s impolite to your leaguemates and it will invariably break your concentration when everyone howls at you and you ve got to go back to Square One on a backup pick. To ensure that you are aware of everything that is going on during your draft, utilize a grid to track all teams, with the number of rounds going down the left side and the teams listed along the top. ^ Don t be that guy who approaches the draft like it s a night of epic decision-making. If you ve done your homework, it s not. You merely find out where you re drafting and you let the draft come to you.

You need to handcuff your RBs to a huge degree again. ^ Depth at WR is a bit thinner than at RB in the early rounds, so consider that fact accordingly as you are assembling your roster. ^ Depth at #1 QB is pretty good, but it s really sterling at the #2 level. Getting two backups maximizes the chance of having the options that you really want including possible trade bait. ^ Travis Kelce is now on the same level as Rob Gronkowski and then there s a gap between them and the rest of the top TEs. Depth is far, far better on the #2 tier, so grab three of them if you miss out on the six #1s. Take 6 owners and conduct a 7-round standard draft. Points will be assigned at 4 intervals: when the first College Football Playoff poll is released on October 30, when the poll is released on November 13, when the final poll is released on December 2 and when the final AP poll is released after the national title game. The October 30 poll accounts for 20% of the total score (with the exception of the bonus points, mentioned below), the November 13 poll accounts for 20% of the total score, the December 2 poll accounts for 20% of the total score and the final AP poll accounts for 40% of the total score. For the first three polls, scoring is as follows: 1st place (50 points), 2 nd place (45 points), 3rd place (43 points), 4th place (42 points), 5 th place (41 points), 6th place (38 points), 7th place (37 points), 8 th place (36 points), 9th place (35 points), 10th place (34 points), 11 th place (30 points), 12th place (29 points), 13th place (28 points), 14 th place (27 points), 15th place (26 points), 16th place (22 points), 17 th place (21 points), 18th place (20 points), 19th place (19 points), 20 th place (18 points), 21st place (13 points), 22nd place (12 points), 23 rd place (11 points), 24th place (10 points), 25th place (9 points). Points are doubled in the final poll, since it accounts for twice the point total of each of the three previous ones. Additional bonuses are awarded for the following accomplishments: 25 points for winning the National Championship Game, 15 points for winning the national semifinals, 10 points for earning a spot in the semifinals, 10 points for a conference title (or piece of one, for conferences without a championship game), 12 points for winning a Big 6 non-semifinal bowl game, 6 points for earning a spot in a Big 6 non-semifinal bowl, 5 points for winning a non- Big 6 bowl game and 10 points for having the Heisman Trophy winner on one of your teams. [We ve added a new wrinkle to the game for 2018, an additional level if you want more depth to the game. It s called the Top 3 option, which awards points for finishing in the Top 3 of a conference division. 250 points go to the top team in a division (with 100 bonus points for the winner of the conference championship game), 150 points to the second-place team and 50 points to the third-place team. For teams in the Big 12 where there are no divisions, the point totals remain the same, but with 35 points for fourth place and 20 points for fifth place. Records are determined first by conference record, with overall record serving as a tiebreaker, with a tie being proclaimed anytime that both records are the same. Check out everything we have to offer and never get out-prepared again! 2019 NFL Draft Preview The strength of next year s draft is in a nonglamour area, but a very important one nonetheless. Ohio State DE is the best edge rusher in the group, but will have stiff competition to be the top pick from DT Ed Oliver of Houston and Dexter Lawrence of Clemson. Other top five candidates in this group include Alabama DE/DT Raekwon Davis, Michigan DE/DT Rashan Gary, Auburn DE Marlon Davidson and Clemson s DE Clelin Ferrell, Miami DE Joe Jackson and DT Christian Wilkins. At OT, Washington s Trey Adams, Wisconsin s David Edwards and Bama s Jonah Williams look to go high in the first round. A year out, the QB picture is cloudier than usual. From the Big 10, Missouri s Drew Lock, Michigan s Shea Patterson and Northwestern s Clayton Thorson all have questions to answer this fall, but each could skyrocket with a strong season. Jacob Eason in his first year at Washington after transferring from Georgia and Auburn s Jarrett Stidham also cannot be ruled out as high picks. With the Top 10 seeming to be dominated by players from the aforementioned positions, it will be difficult for others to sneak in, but these players have a chance: Mississippi WR AJ Brown, Texas WR Collin Johnson, Miami WR Ahmmon Richards, Florida WR WR Tyrie Cleveland, LSU CB Greedy Williams and Georgia DB DeAndre Baker. Fantasy Over-Under Game & Draft Board We ve come up with yet another permutation on the fantasy football experience at FantasyDrafthelp.com: the Fantasy Over-Under Game. It s based on the projected win totals released every year by the sports books. For our game, ideally, you have four owners with three standard serpentine rounds. Each owner will take a team to finish either over or under their projected win total. The teams listed on our draft board to the right are considered by us to be the ones most likely to go over or under their projected totals by a decent amount. Here s the scoring system: ^ Correct by 5 or more games: 25 points ^ Correct by 3-4 games: 16 points ^ Correct by 2 games: 7 points ^ Correct by 1 game: 4 points ^ Right on the win total: 0 points ^ Incorrect by 1 game: -4 points ^ Incorrect by 2 games: -7 points ^ Incorrect by 3-4 games: -16 points ^ Incorrect by 5 or more games: -25 points 1 Arizona 4.5 UNDER 2 LA Rams 9.5 OVER 3 Washington 7 UNDER 4 Detroit 8 UNDER 5 Atlanta 9 OVER 6 Philadelphia 10.5 OVER 7 Indianapolis 6.5 OVER Taste our Tweets! http://twitter.com/thefdhlounge

ROUND 1: There were no real surprises in the first round. ROUND 2: Russ and Mike P went old-school with RB/RB. Meanwhile, Jake and Jeff still didn t have a single RB yet. ROUND 3: Kelce ended up being a good value for Dave. And Jake still didn t have a RB! ROUND 4: If McCoy doesn t end up behind bars, Jake will have a great value for his first RB. Mike V and Samm went off the board in terms of value with Davis and Roethlisberger, respectively. ROUND 5: Roethlisberger, Brown and Smith-Schuster all on Samm s team? Uh interesting. Rick and Jon ended up with pretty good value at RB with Drake and McCaffrey, respectively. ROUND 6: Top 60 values still existed for Mike V, Mike P, Jason and Jake. ROUND 7: The final Top 60 values still existed for Ben, Nate, Russ, Mike P (again!) and Jason. ROUND 8: Weirdly, it was a round pretty much dominated by QB and WR. ROUNDS 9-12: It took until Rounds 10-12 for the Ks and D/STs to really start moving.
