SHOW INFORMATION Class fees: Office Fee: Clinic Fee: Lease Fee: $10 per class. Check left with secretary at least 15 minutes to class start is required for issuance of the number. $10 per horse/rider combo $100 per horse/rider combo $40 to lease a Blackjack Lane academy horse for the clinic or show (subject to approval, please contact Krissan Barber to discuss options) Non Showing Horse: $30 grounds fee for any horse who would like to school but is not competing. Stall Fee: Attire: Equipment: Schooling: $45 for overnight stall which includes shavings. Shot records are required in addition to negative coggins. ASTM approved are required at all times while riders are mounted. Show attire should be tidy and well fitted. Show shirts required. Paddock boots and half chaps are permitted. No martingales in flat classes. Boots and polos are not permitted in hunter classes. Riders that have purchased an overnight stall may school in either Blackjack Lane Equestrian s covered or outdoor arena on Saturday after 4pm. An hour schooling break will also be allowed prior to the show start at the Lomax Arena.
Equitation and Jumping Clinic For intermediate and advanced riders jumping 2 and over. Emphasis will be placed on proper flatwork leading into technical jumping exercises. Two groups will ride for two hours each. Division of clinic groups will be determined by the clinician depending on the number of entries and levels of riders. Beginner Show Division Descriptions Leadline: For riders in their first year of lessons. Riders will show on the leadline and may be asked for two point position, posting trot, and sitting trot. No cross entries into other divisions. Walk Division: open to riders in their first year of showing. All riders will show at the walk only and may be asked for two point position at the walk, halt, reverse, and horsemanship questions. No cross entries into other divisions. Walk Trot Division: For riders in their first or second year of showing and who have not shown over fences yet. No cross entries into other divisions. Crossrails Division: For riders in their first or second year of showing and who have not shown above 18 over fences. Suitability of the mount will be stressed. Riders will show at the canter one at a time on either right or left lead, to be determined by the judge. Crossrail course will not include a change of direction and may be shown at the trot or canter. Simple lead changes not to be penalized. No cross entries into other divisions. Beginner Division: For riders in their first or second year of showing 18 and over. Suitability of the mount will be stressed. Courses will be shown over fences at a height of 2 with no width (no oxers, boxes, gates) and will require at least one change of direction. Simple lead changes not to be penalized. Hopeful Hunter Division: Open to green horses in their first year of showing. Division open to professionals, amateurs and juniors. Courses will be shown over fences at a height of 2 with no width (no oxers, boxes, gates) and will require at least one change of direction. Simple lead changes not to be penalized. Show Management reserves the right to combine, split or cancel any class or division due to excessive or inadequate entries. Show management will answer all questions not covered by the USEF Rule Book.
