Dear Parents, Annunciation School Newsletter Annunciationbvm.org January 25, 2017 For steadfast is his kindness toward us, and the fidelity of the LORD endures forever. Psalm 117 One of the newest traditions of the past few years at Annunciation is our classroom buddy program. The buddy program has been a great success and has helped to build school unity and foster compassion and care among our student body. Each of our younger classes is partnered with an older class. These classes sit together at the all-school Mass on Wednesday. The classes also get together monthly to share in an activity. For example, in November the 6 th grade helped their 3 rd buddies work on the cookie election posters and speeches. 2 nd and 5 th grade created cute turkeys for Thanksgiving. At Christmastime, the 4 th and 7 th grades built awesome gingerbread houses and the 1 st and 4 th grades had a read aloud time. This month Preschool and 8 th grade had a snow day reading books, playing snowball games, and enjoying hot chocolate. Below you will find pictures of our recent buddy activities. Our SUPER Catholic Schools Week kicks off Saturday with our Family Fun Night at 6:00pm in the Gym. All week we will celebrate all the super heroes at Annunciation our awesome students and staff with fun activities. Consult the flyer for all the week s activities. Don t forget to dress as your favorite super hero on Tuesday! Thank you in advance to our dedicated Home & School Association for preparing the activities for this fun week. Sincerely, Mrs. Jennifer Wardynski
