Crosby s Seafood Company Current Market notes and for the week of Local fishing for the upcoming weekend is looking very slim. Luckily we have had several local boats land back to dock in the past few days and offloaded plenty of local Triggerfish and Sword fish. Fishing Vessels (F/V) The local F/V Game On is at dock installing upgrades to their fish coolers. The local F/V Charleston Star just unloaded Local Swordfish on Monday. They will be taking about a week break for their crew. The local F/V Ellen Jean Just unloaded Local Swordfish on Tuesday. They are expected to head back out Thursday or Friday and be back in Sunday or Monday. The local F/V Still Fishing is at dock waiting for their Captain to return from vacation. They are hoping to get back out fishing by next Tuesday or Wednesday. The local F/V Bonsai is at dock still undergoing minor repairs. As of now we do not have a definitive answer on when repairs will be completed. The Local F/V Seahawk is at dock and not expected to get back out until mid-week next week. The local F/V China Girl is at dock having extensive repairs done. It is to our understanding that the repairs will take at least a month or longer. The local F/V Miss Jane just left dock today to target more local swordfish. They are expected back in towards the end of the weekend. The local F/V Oxbow left dock on Monday to target Local Wreck fish and Barrel fish. They are expected to return next Thursday or Friday the 15 th or 16 th. Notes Plenty of stunning Local Sushi grade Swordfish, Wreck fish, and Trigger in house. Had a beautiful 140 lb. Local Mako Shark walk in the door from the Ellen Jean that unloaded on Tuesday. Brought in more of the Wild caught Speckled Trout from North Carolina at an average weight of 3-6 lb. fish. Gorgeous Striped bass, a.k.a. Rockfish, have been coming in steadily from up-east and have been an average weight of between 10-20 lb. fish. The East Coast Halibut have remained steadily available and the quality of the fish has been exquisite. Stunning Wild caught Spot tail Bass (Red- Drum) in from North Carolina at an average weight of 3-8 lbs. Sushi Grade Norwegian and Faroe Island Salmon are both in and prices have maintained a consistent rate. For all St. Helena Salt SC oyster and Devil Shoals NC oysters customers, they have been selling out as fast we can bring them in, as a result we are asking for all orders to be placed by Friday for the following Wednesday to help us ensure we can accommodate all inventory needs. Local Trigger fish have still been coming in the door steadily at a 2-3 lb. average and have been absolutely gorgeous fish. The local shrimp are still pouring in the door in all sizes: 26/30, 21/25 and 16/20 s. Shipments have continued to come in nearly daily of each size. 20 lb. orders or more on local shrimp are subject to price reduction. Plenty of P.E.I. Mussels, Clams, and Fancy Fresh Sea Scallops available with shipments coming in 3 times a week to ensure the up most quality. Local North Carolina handpicked fresh crabmeat Lump, Jumbo Lump, and Claw have all been coming in 3 times a week to ensure strictly the up most quality.
