WEST PLANTAGENET PONY CLUB RIDING SCHOOL Friday 13 to Sunday 15 April 2012 This great weekend of learning and fun is happening again in April. Those who have attended our riding school before know it to be a wonderful weekend of riding and friendship. All ages, levels and abilities welcome. This year s instructors are: Nellandra Henry Show jumping Louise Hillman Flatwork Norma Squire Flatwork/lead rein and first ridden Nellandra Henry Nellandra Henry is an accredited EFA NCAS level 1 coach, a qualified SSTA (Skills Specific Trainer and Assessor) and holds Level 2 Horse Management and Jumping certificates. Nellandra has trained and competed internationally in the UK and USA. She has produced many horses to Grand Prix jumping competition. Her current horse Covert Operation was the winner of the 2011 Equineworld A & B leaderboard. In 2003 and 2010, Nellandra won the Eric Marsden Trophy for leading Senior Show Jumping Rider and is a member of the State Show Jumping Squad. Nellandra was voted Leading Show Jumping Coach of the year 2010 and Leading Community Coach 2011. Louise Hillman Louise Hillimas is an accredited EFA NCAS Level 1 coach with over 30 years of coaching experience in Australia and England. Originally from the UK, she also holds coaching qualifications with the British Horse Society. She is an active and successful competitor and member of the WA Senior Dressage Squad. As a rider, Louise evented up to Novice level (1*) in England and competed briefly in WA with local successes including the Great Southern Zone Reserve Open Championship in the early 1990s. More recently, Louise has focused on dressage. Together with her horse DP Finean they have had a number of significant achievements - WA FEI Small Tour Champions 2009, 2010 and 2011. For the rider, Louise provides both theory and practical sections to her lessons - riders get to understand why and how to do something as well as experiencing the feeling of doing it. For the horse, her focus is on harmony, responsiveness and suppleness aiming for a happy athlete. Norma Squire Norma Squire is a founding member of WPPC and still actively takes part in our rallies offering a vast range of experience to our members. LESSON FORMAT Each rider is to have two lessons per day = 6 lessons over the three days one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Whilst the preferred option is one flatwork lesson with Louise and one show jumping lesson with Nellandra, we will attempt to accommodate riders who chose one instructor for the six lessons. First ridden and lead rein riders will have all six lessons with Norma Squire. Riders will be advised of lesson times by email or they can be viewed on the website. If you are bringing more than one horse you will need to fill in one form for each horse. Numbers are limited so please send your forms, money and signed disclaimer (non-pcawa members) by Wednesday 4 April 2012.
