Western Carolina is 31-16 in home season openers in the program s history. Western Carolina connected on seven three-pointers in the loss to Coastal Carolina. Senior guard Angel Allen led Western Carolina with 16 points, tying her career-high with four three-pointers, against Coastal Carolina. Western Carolina had as much as a 12 point lead in the second period but watched it dwindle to close the first half to lead 28-24 at the break. Campbell took the lead in the third off a 20-12 run.
