ROAD SAFETY PATROL Enrollment no:143001/2014 ANNUAL REPORT(JUNE 14 FEB 15) TRAFFIC CONTROL DUTY As we know in cities traffic is one of the most unsolved problem which creates the mess on the roads. many are hurt and even died. In order put this under control the RSPCLUB OF CIT has been successfully carrying over road safety patrol program. Every day it starts by morning 7.45 AM and extends over 9.00AM and 5 volunteers of the club are involved in it. This also continues in evening from 4.30 PM to 5.30 PM.They involve in regulating traffic and also they are receiving honors for this volunteer service.

PAMPHLETE DISTRIBUTION(HELMET AND SEAT BELT AWARENESS) Lack of awareness is the cause for the mistake.to break this and to create awareness.the RSP CLUB OF CIT has launched it s awareness mission on 28thJuly 2014. This pamphlet distribution was presided by the honorablesub- COLLECTOR OF COIMBATORE Mr.GUNA SEKARAN.Theme of the pamphlet distribution was to instruct the importance of wearing the helmets and the seat belts.this mission involves the distribution of about 4000covers the pamphlets undertaken by about 63 volunteers.this covers the hightraffic areas such as ukkadam,townhall,collector office and some other places. INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE (AUGUST 15) To crown this all, the majestic independence parade was performed by the RSP CLUB OF CIT. To undertake this honor the parade team of CIT has successfully crossed their practice session.this practice session has started early in this months of June and July which was monitored by police men.then a separate training session was conducted in the first 15 days of august police ground.then the last,the parade team of 30 boys and 30 girls gave a marvelous performance on 15 august in front of the Honorable collector and the other VIP s.

INAUGURAL FUNCTION: The inaugural function of the RSP CLUB ofcit was held on 12 th September 2014. This function was headed by Mr.K. Adhiveera Pandiyan ASP and Shri. S.Venkatapriya, district revenue officer, Mr. Sivaramakrishnan, duty planning officer. The chief guests were given the god of honor by the parade team of RSP.The events of this function were certificate distribution, the new pamphlet release and also insisting the importance of RSP in college.

PAMPHLET 2: Lack of awareness is the cause for the mistakes. To break this and to create awareness, the RSP club of CIT has launched it s awareness mission on 12 th September 2014. This pamphlet distribution was presided by the honorable District revenue officer Shri. S. Venkatapriya, The theme of the pamphlet distribution was to instruct the importance of using helmets and seat beltsand avoid usage of cell phones while driving and avoid riding of more than two persons in two wheelers. The mission involves the distribution of about 2500 pamphlets undertaken by about 50 volunteers. ( Commissioner office, Gandhipuram, Anna saalai, PRS ground, Peelamedu, CMC signal ) RALLY: RSP Club of CIT has involved in many activities to create awareness among the people. One of them was RALLY. The theme of the rally was to instruct the road safety. The venue of the program was the Jayandra Arts and Science college. The rally was headed by the

deputy commissioner of police Mr. T.K Rajasekaran, The rally was about 5 km from Singanallur to Ramanathapuram. This was successfully accomplished by 50 volunteers of RSP. The pamphlet distribution was also held on that occasion. EVENTS CONDUCTED IN COLLEGE BY RSP: POWERPOINT PRESENTATION: (AUGUST 20 TH ) The visual effect plays a vital role to grasp the attention of the audience and to spread the information. The powerpoint presentation has become the modern trend. The RSP club of CIT has also excelled in this technique and has presented a number of powerpoints on road safety. Moreover the prizes were distributed on that occasion in main block conference hall. The participants to receive the first, second and third prizes were Dhinesh (ECE), Sandhiya (EEE), Sai Ram (EEE).

FUN EVENTS: (SEPT 15 TH ) The RSP club of CIT has also involved in conducting the fun events for the first and second year students for their refreshments. The event was held at the main block conference hall and consist of quiz, games and the session was conducted by the final year students of CIT.

FIRST YEAR SELECTION: (SEPT 20 TH ) The RSP club of CIT has recruited their young volunteers from the first years by selection based on their physical abilities. The selection process was held at the OAT ground of CIT. The recruited students consisted 53 boys and 47 girls, a total of 100. CREATING PARKING LOTS IN COLLEGE 4 th OCT: The RSP Club of CIT has also involved in placing the instruction boards in the campus for the two-wheeler and the 4 wheeler ONE DAY WORKSHOP (Civil service Examinations):(13 th DEC- 14): Guest lecture: We the RSPians conducted a one day workshop on the respected district Assistant Collector(Training), Mrs.Gayathri Krishnan, I.A.S. Nearly 300 members participated in the workshop. In the workshop, the collector gave a valuable lecture about how to face the civil service exams, what are all the opportunities available for the people who write the exams, etc..,

SWACHCH BHARATH:(28 th DEC-14): Our honourable Prime Minister Mr.NarendraModi started the event SWACHCH BHARATH by which we get a cleaner and a healthier India. We the members of RSP club were proud to say that we also joined hand in the event. Our team and the B5 station police officers involved in cleaning the SINGANALLUR Bus Stand for one whole day. This was done on 28 th DEC-2014. RALLY (ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS):(13 th JAN-15): Our team The RSP Club of CIT, feels honoured to say that we conducted a rally from Gandhipuram to VOC park, celebrating the Road Safety Week. Nearly 2000 members participated in this rally. We covered a distance of 3kms by walk on the 2 nd week of January, which is celebrated as the Road Safety Week all over the world.

SHORT FILM 14thJAN(ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS) Short film was taken by students on the road safety week (14 th jan) regarding the awareness of the road safety and that reached the public. REPUBLIC DAY PARADE(26 th JAN-15): Our RSP club feels great to announce that we led a parade on the Republic day function on 26 th jan in the VOC park. The members of RSP club of CIT, both boys and girls nearly 60 members marched in the parade infront of District collector, Commissioner, Inspector General of police(ig) and all other VIP s.

ROAD SAFETY AWERENESS PPT PRESENTED BY TRAFFIC WARDENS 13 th FEB Traffic wardens of Coimbatore Mr.Sambabu and Dr.LeonardBernardin conducted a paper presentation on the topics Road safety, Duty of traffic Wardens, traffic signals and their representations on the 13 th feb 2015. They conducted the section useful to the students level, it was really very useful to the students on usage of road. Their topic was on students are the future road users this covers the many students. VOLUNTEERS IN MINI MARATHON AND PARTICIPANTS 1 st FEB Our RSP club students participated in the mini marathon and as the volunteers in the mini marathon conducted by CIT and Y s MEN club. The students of RSP are actively participated in the event also. This function was conducted on the behalf of police,assistant commissioner of police,mr.baskarn(l&o) and the actormr.s.i.karthi. PPT DONE BY RSP STUDENTS 19 TH FEB (ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS) Our RSP students of CIT college conducted the paper presentation on the topic road safety awareness and on many particular topicson 19 th feb 2015. There are 25 students participated in the presentation among them there are 15 boys and 10 girls. This program was judged by RSP secretory S.Srinivasan and RSP staff advisor Mrs.P.Arunadevi.

DEBATE CONDUCTED ON 23th FEB Debate was conducted by the student on 23th feb 2015. The students were actively participated in the event actively. About 100 students were participated.

FUN EVENT CONDUCTED ON 25 th FEB Fun event was conducted by secretory and the joint secretory of RSP for first year students. The first year students were actively participated in this and they won prizes also. OVER NIGHT EVENT ON 26 th FEB Essay writing and the story writing competition was conducted by the secretory of RSP for the first year students. They wrote many essay, slogan, articles, drawings and story regarding the road safety.
