CLASSES All classes open to singles, pairs and tandems Commencing at 10.00am prompt classes will follow on OSBORNE REFRIGERATORS QUALIFIERS Classes 4 and 8 are qualifiers for the 2012 Osborne Refrigerators BDS National Championships. The highest placed turnout owned and driven by a member of the British Driving Society and eligible for the Type-Section(s) listed, disregarding those already qualified, down to 6th place (10th place for type-sections (o) (r)) in the class will qualify for the 2012 Semi-Finals. The Championship will immediately follow the Semi-Finals. VICTORIA FOOD COMPANY QUALIFIERS Classes 4, 6 and 8 are qualifiers for the Victoria Food Company Championships 2012. In each class the winner will qualify for the grand final to be held on Sunday 9th September 2012 at The Hand Equestrian Centre, Clevedon, Somerset. In the event that the winner has already qualified then the second in the class to qualify. If the second has also qualified, the rosette to be awarded to the winner. Once qualified, the horse, whip and vehicle may not be changed. Pneumatic tyres permitted. Turnouts should carry appropriate spares that may be required whilst out driving. To be judged on general cleanliness, safety of turnout, correct fitting of harness, vehicle suitability, driver and groom, horse / pony, way of going. Competitors will be required to demonstrate the obedience and flexibility of the turnout by completing tasks set by the judge, for example driving between cones, and the horse / pony s manners and ability at halt, walk, trot and reverse This class is not intended for those who show in private driving classes. RULES 1. No Horse or Pony under the age of 4 years to be driven in any class 2. The Judge s decision is final 3. Show officials and stewards must be obeyed at all times 4. All entrants must have their own Third Party Insurance 5. Young Drivers, aged 18 years and under on the day of the show, must be accompanied at all times while driving by a competent adult groom 6. The organisers reserve the right to omit, divide or amalgamate any class, vary the order of classes and times, refuse entry, withhold a prize, cancel the show or disqualify a competitor at their discretion 7. In the event of the show being cancelled entry fees received to date will be returned 8. No entry fees will be refunded unless supported by a Vet s or Doctor s Certificate 9. All riders must wear hard hats to the approved standard 10. All dogs must be kept on leads at all times 11. Please do not muck out your horsebox on to the show ground. These fields are used for other public events and animal grazing 12. Please take all litter home with you 13. All trophies are perpetual and must be signed for and collected from the Show Secretary and returned as agreed 14. No liability whatsoever is accepted by the British Driving Society, the landowner or the organisers for any damage to persons or property of or associated with any participant or spectator at this event 15.
