Use water spray to keep fire-exposed containers cool. Firefighters should wear appropriate protective equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) with a full face-piece operated in a positive pressure mode. UNUSUAL FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS: Flammable aerosol. In a fire or if heated, a pressure increase will occur and the container may burst, with the risk of subsequent explosion. Gas may accumulate in low or confined areas or travel a considerable distance to a source of ignition and flash back, causing fire or explosion. Bursting aerosol containers may be propelled from a fire at high speed. Runoff to sewer may create fire or explosion hazard. HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS: Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide. SECTION 6: ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES EMERGENCY PROCEDURES: ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS: Stop all leaks. Isolate hazard area. Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel from entering. Eliminate all sources of ignition. Disperse vapors with water spray. Prevent runoff from entering drains, sewers, streams or other bodies of water. Absorb spill with inert material. Absorb unrecoverable product. Transfer contaminated absorbent, soil and other materials to containers for disposal. Prevent material from entering drain, sewers, streams or other bodies of water. PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Use personal protective equipment as stated in Section 8. METHODS AND MATERIALS FOR CONTAINMENT AND CLEANUP: Same as EMERGENCY PROCEDURES above. PAGE 2 OF 6
