ACA is lenient n granting dispensatins t allw players t play at the right level fr their develpmental age, this includes mving up r dwn a cmpetitin grade t suit a player s current develpment. 2. All players must be entered int CricHQ prir t the tss. 5. Hurs f Play & Over Rate Saturday T20: 9.30am 12.00pm. The first innings shuld cnclude by 10.40am at the latest. 6. Caches All Caches are t have cmpleted the Advanced Fundatins Caching Curse. All n field caching shuld be dne quickly t ensure n delays. Only umpires, caches r managers can prvide n field caching. 7. Length f Innings T20. Maximum 20 vers. The secnd innings shall cnsist f the same number f vers bwled in the first innings (r 20 vers if the team batting first has been dismissed in less than 20 vers), prviding that a result is nt reached befrehand. Please Nte: Umpires shuld remind teams abut pace f play as the innings prgresses. If required umpires can require shrter run ups and ther measures t speed up play. 8. Pitch Length Full pitch. 9. Fielding Exclusin Zne Markers are placed 18m square either side f the stumps at bth ends. The square leg umpire is t psitin at the 18m marker. The fielding exclusin zne is deemed t be frm the umpire behind the stumps at the bwler s end r 20.12m frm the batter s end stumps, whichever is further, t the markers either side f the stumps at the batter s end. Further, behind square n either side f the stumps, n fielder can be within 18m except fr the wicketkeeper and ne slip fielder psitined n clser than in line with the wicketkeeper. Excluding the bwler, fielders may nly enter the exclusin zne after the batter has played their sht. If players encrach early, the umpire will signal and call a 'n ball' that the batter cannt get called ut n, including fr a run ut the batter cannt cntinue t run nce the bails are disldged. Fielders shuld field in prper cricket fielding psitins utside f the fielding exclusin zne. The exclusin zne exists t encurage quick singles and active fielding. 10. Ball A 142gm ball is t be used. Hardball Kkaburra Crwn Water Resistant Pink Ball. The match ball des nt have t be new, but umpires must agree that it is fit fr play. A new ball can nly be taken at the beginning f each innings. 11. Declaratins Nt allwed. 12. Weather Affected Matches Declared a draw if 20 vers fr T20 in each innings is nt pssible due t weather cnditins. 13. Intervals Maximum f 10 minutes between innings. One drinks break, nt exceeding 2 minutes, may be taken midway thrugh each innings. 14. Dismissals Batter is ut when ut. 15. Stumpings Yes. 16. LBWs Yes. Umpires are t always give the batter the benefit f the dubt and nly give an LBW if they are cmpletely satisfied the ball wuld have hit and stumps and pitched crrectly. Any dubt at all shuld result in a nt ut decisin. 17. Uneven Team Numbers A team may bat 1 player twice if they have less than 9 players, but the returning batter must be the lwest scring batter (dismissed). Any delivery which passes (r wuld have passed) abve the batter s shulder, r any full-tss which passes (r wuld have passed) abve the batter s waist, shall be called a n-ball. Any delivery that bunces utside f the pitch will autmatically be deemed a n ball. Umpires must agree wide-lines befre the start f play. There shall be n restrictin n the number f wides r n-balls which may be called in an ver, but maximum 6 deliveries per ver. The last ver has n maximum deliveries. N Balls and Wides are wrth 2 runs. 19. Duble Bunce Rule Called a n ball if the ball, withut having tuched the bat r persn f the striker, bunces mre than nce, r rlls alng the grund, befre reaching the ppping crease. 20. Length f Overs A maximum f 6 deliveries per ver (including wides/n balls). The last ver has n maximum deliveries. 21. Bwling Restrictins Maximum 4 vers per player. All players must bwl minimum 1 ver. A minimum f 3 vers f spin/slw bwling per innings. Spin bwling is defined as bwling ff a shrt run up at a slw pace. N player may bwl their third ver until all players ther than the wicket keeper have bwled ne ver. 22. Retirement/Batters Returning Cmpulsry retirement f batters after 24 balls faced i.e. wides and n balls are cunted. Retired batters may nly return at the end f the innings in the rder they first retired (i.e. first retired batter returns first, next retired batter returns next and s n). Batters cannt be retired early unless injured. Returning batter cannt be retired a 2nd time nce returned t the crease. Nte: Manipulating batting s that batters deliberately get ut (batting side) t bring back better batters r deliberately nt getting batters ut (bwling side) t stp better batters cming back, are bth against the spirit f cricket. 23. N mre than tw wicket keepers are t be used during an innings t ensure that the match is nt unduly delayed. Wicket keepers can nly be changed during a scheduled drinks break. If a wicket keeper fields then she must als bwl the minimum number f vers. Wicket keepers must wear helmets. 25. Umpiring Umpires are required t have cmpleted the free nline Umpires Caching Curse. We encurage the same umpires remain thrughut the game t ensure cnsistency. Umpires shuld prvide guidance t bth sides t assist with game develpment. All n field caching shuld be dne quickly t ensure n delays f games. 26. Exchange f Umpires 27. Music Allwed but umpires must umpire at least half an innings t ensure sme cnsistency fr the players, unless agreement t d therwise has been reached between the caches. The batting side is permitted t play music fr the batters t walk n and ff the field and during any breaks f play e.g. drinks break, innings break. This shuld nt delay the game. 28. Spirit f Cricket Rating Bth sides must cmplete a spirit f cricket rating fr the ppsitin in CricHQ. 29. Separatin f Players and Supprters Areas Befre and During Games All supprters are encuraged t attend games, hwever, t aid with develpment f players, supprters viewing areas must be setup at least 20m away frm the players area. Befre and during games, all supprters, are encuraged t stay away frm the players area where nly players/caches/managers/umpires/scrers can enter. Only umpires, caches r managers shuld prvide any befre r during game advice. 30. Grades Players frm any Saturday Pink Grade cannt play fr Saturday Sft Ball Grade teams withut a dispensatin frm ACA. ACA will divide entered teams int ne cmpetitin fr this grade. Nte, ACA will try t schedule games t minimise travel and may nt be traditinal hme grunds fr either team. Players cannt play in finals fr any team they have nt played at least 4 games fr previusly withut ACA dispensatin. In an eliminatin match where a winner must be fund (Quarter Final r Semi Final) if the game is tied at the end f the match the result will be awarded t the team with the highest seeding frm pl/league play ging int the match. E.g. If 3rd is playing 5th and the match is tied the 3rd place team shall prgress. This rule wuld als take affect if the game was abandned r washed ut. Fr the Final game if abandned r tied the trphy shall be shared between the 2 teams. 31. Weather Cancellatins ACA will cancel all junir and yuth mrning cricket shuld there be an Auckland weather advisry frm the Metservice advising that it is unsafe t travel t games. ACA checks fr advisries cnstantly and will cmmunicate thrugh the ACA website, Facebk and email t all Club Managers. Caches / managers if yu are unsure if the game is n we encurage yu t use the cntact list yur club shuld have prvided yu t call the ppsitin team cach/manager t discuss this. If a mutual agreement cannt be made the hme team manager has final say n pitch cnditin and playability. If a game is abandned, the hme team cach/manager must enter the game as abandned n CricHQ immediately. If cntact cannt be made with ppsitin team cach/manager r club manager, cntact ACA. If ACA receives a call frm an away team advising they cannt cntact the hme team cach/manager r club manager at 7am r later, ACA has the ability t deem the fixture as abandned if ACA believes the weather will nt allw a fixture t be played. If in any dubt, please ensure yu arrive at the grund n time t avid a default. 32. Defaults If a Team defaults a match fr any reasn the fllwing penalties shall be incurred: (i) First default: The Team and Club t which the defaulting Team belngs shall receive a warning f the cnsequences f a further default. (ii) Secnd default: The Team defaulting shall frfeit 3 Cmpetitin pints, will be fined $100 and its Club shall receive a final warning. (iii) Third default: The Team defaulting shall be debarred frm participating in the remainder f the Cmpetitin.
