Naughtica 2017 Dossier for Participants 28 th March 2017 Dear Participants of Naughtica 2017! We sincerely hope that you are getting ready with all your preparations for the event. This document will provide you further information to be ready and prepared. Please read carefully and feel free to ask us any questions in one single email directed through your Institute 1) You will soon be receiving the name and location of the Hotel that you will be required to reach no later than 10 am on Friday, 14 th April 2017 2) You should check-in and be ready to board your bus at around 1100 from the hotel to the venue 3) Registrations will start as soon as the first batch reaches the venue 4) You will get transport to/from the venue to the hotel on all 3 days 5) Please ensure that you maintain Officer like Behaviour at the Hotel, in the Bus Transport and at the Venue during the entire event 6) You are welcome to dress up in your college T-Shirts and Cotton Trousers/ Jeans (if permitted by your Institute) 7) No flip flops/ chappals/ sandals are permitted during the event. Any inappropriate apparel/language/placards will not be permitted during any stage of the event & will result in immediate disqualification of the participant and/or institute 8) You will be provided the following meals at our cost: 14 th April- Light Refreshments in the afternoon and Dinner (Light lunch and snacks can be purchased at the venue on this day) 15 th April Breakfast at the Hotel, Lunch and Dinner at the Venue 16 th April Breakfast at the Hotel and Lunch at the Venue 9) Consumption of Alcohol and/or drugs is STRICTLY Prohibited 10) You will be provided with a unique Naughtica ID which must be displayed on you at all times during the event We are not liable for theft/ breakage or loss of you any personal belongings. Further, you shall be liable for any damages to the Hotel/ Venue property if caused by you This is your event & you can make it a memorable one! Below are event wise instructions that must be read carefully
Event Wise Instructions ( further to instructions shared earlier) Participants are to strictly follow below instructions. Any deviation will lead to elimination of the Participant/ Institute Group 1) Musical Band Contest Total Bands Competing = 8 Each band will be provided with the following equipment: a) 1 Electric Guitar b) 1 Acoustic Guitar ( plugged in) c) 1 Bass Guitar d) 1 Keyboard e) 5 piece Drum Kit f) Amps will be provided Pedals or processors will NOT be provided You are permitted to carry your personal guitars which should be plug and play Your song must not exceed 5 minutes and must be in Hindi or English. Top 3 bands will perform at the finals and rest will be eliminated. Top 2 will be awarded. 2) Troupe Dance Contest Total Troupes Competing = 16 All participants must be decently dressed and the dance forms must not be vulgar or suggestive. The MP3 track of the musical tracks must be provided to the orgainsers by email to info@offing.biz. This email should reach us latest by Friday 31 st March 2017, 5pm You should ideally prepare 2 tracks (1 for the elimination round and 1, in case you make it to the finals). You should also carry these tracks in MP3 format on a CD a, mark your college name on the CD with a permanent marker and submit it to the organizers at time of registration. Please keep a back-up Top 3 troupes will take part in the final round and Winner & Runner Up will be awarded
3) Short Film Making Contest Total Teams Contesting = 17 This category has received a lot of enthusiasm. The judge will have a mentoring session with at least 1 participant from each team at 4.30 pm on 14 th March at a separate dedicated location. He will guide you on the requirements and also give you the themes that you need to shoot on and also show you some sample films You are permitted to shoot the film either with a smartphone or a DSLR Camera if you have one. Tripods and Selfie Sticks are also a good idea to add to the quality Please carry your own laptop with editing software Remember Idea & Content is KING (We appreciate the short time and emphasis will be more on idea and acting than location/lighting etc) Top 3 films will be shown to the entire audience and the winner will be awarded 4) Badminton Total Teams Contesting = 23 Doubles Teams Below format will be followed with 2 pools & the Team Number will be decided and displayed in the order that your registration forms have been received Elimination games will be of 5 points & Final will be of 11 points All tie breakers will be resolved by a difference of 2 points The Winner & Runner Up will be awarded Get your own badminton rackets Feather shuttle cocks will be provided.wear sports shoes
5) Table Tennis Total Teams Contesting = 20 Doubles Teams Below format will be followed with 2 pools & the Team Number will be decided and displayed in the order that your registration forms have been received All tie breakers will be resolved by a difference of 2 points All Table Tennis Games will be of 11 points Change of serve at 3 points The Winner & Runner Up will be awarded Get your own TT rackets TT balls will be provided Wear sports shoes
6) Engineer It Total Teams Contesting = 20 Teams Please carry Boiler Suits & Suitable Gloves. The wining team will be awarded 7) Electrifying Contest Total Teams Contesting = 18 Teams Please carry Boiler Suits & Suitable Gloves. The wining team will be awarded Each participating college to carry their own multi meter 8) Knotty Skills Total Teams Contesting = 21 Teams The winner and runner up will be awarded 9) Swimming Total Contestants = 23 Free Style swimming about 50 meters. Please carry appropriate towel, swimming trunks, goggles and swimming cap. The winner and runner up will be awarded Straight eliminations into final round 10) Cooking Contest Total Contestants = 19 Carry your own apron and cap. All ingredients for the dish will be provided. The winner and runner up will be awarded 11) Solo Singing Contest Total Contestants = 22 The song can be in any Indian language or English. The song can be any type ( Romantic/ Classical/ etc etc) The artist may choose to use 1 musical instrument of his/her choice to accompany the singing, but same will have to be played by the artist themselves. All participants who want to play a musical track in the background must provide. the MP3 track to the orgainsers by email to info@offing.biz. Please keep a back-up This is NOT a karaoke contest and NO visual will be provided This is a ONE ROUND contest, so prepare only 1 song! The winner and runner up will be awarded
12) Mimicry Contest Total Contestants = 15 The artist will get a stage time of a maximum of 5 minutes. The act performed will have to be in Hindi or English. The top 2 winners judged to be the best will face off each other in an Improv contest where the topic will be provided by the judges and each participant will get 3 minutes to speak on same. The winner will be awarded 13) Personality Contest Mr Naughtica Total Contestants = 20 Ms Naughtica Total Contestants = 04 Round 1 Ramp walk (Indian Traditional wear or Western Formal wear) Round 2 Elocution (2-minute speech on topic of their choice) Round 3 - For Mr. Naughtica - The top 3 finalists will face off in a Rapid Fire Questionnaire by the judges and the winner will be crowned! Round 3 - For Ms. Naughtica All 4 participants will face off in a Rapid Fire Questionnaire by the judges and the winner will be crowned! The participants must carry their own costumes and make up & will be provided with a green room to get ready (Female participants have a separate room) We wish you great success at all activities!
