Manitoba has the second highest rate of children using food banks in Canada. Nearly 43 per cent of Winnipeg Harvest s food bank users are children. Since 2008, there has been a 53 per cent increase in food bank use. That is the highest rate of increase among the provinces. Winnipeg Harvest relies exclusively on donations and does not receive operational funds from any level of government or the United Way. These facts are both frightening and true. Your support helps Winnipeg Harvest continue to feed our most vulnerable and make a huge difference in the quality of life and health of so many people.
