It involves four disciplines: Shooting Show Jumping Running Swimming I've never shot a gun and I don't own one? That's ok, most members who start out competing in Tetrathlons have never shot a gun. RIDING Eligibility of Horse Course Specifications Minimum age 4 years Derby or Show Jumping style fences, may have XC style fences of any type, majority of fences to be faultable rails. Elimination in the Riding Phase is not elimination for the entire Tetrathlon Competition. SHOOTING Equipment Laser pistols to be used for Pony Club Nationals distance from target 10m. Practice will be arranged for those states not able to practice with laser pistols. Queensland using laser pistols does not require a licence or for the event to be held at a registered range. Scoring Each competitor will have two snap-shooting targets each with 5 shots fired consecutively and with a time limit of two minutes per each round of 5 shots. All ten shots, 5 on each target will count towards the total score of the competitor with a maximum of 1000 points achievable. Rings are marked from 1 10 with the value of 10 100 respectively.
