Attendees include; 40 youth basketball teams, 300 local students as an educational field trip, 200 participants of the free youth basketball clinic, MHSAA Basketball Championships ticket holders, local residents and other out-of-town visitors. Why Should I be a? Hoopfest is more than just a basketball event, and it certainly has more benefits than an average sponsorship. Yes, sponsoring Hoopfest provides valuable publicity and perks for your business, but more importantly it provides an open door to impact area youth. As sedentary lifestyles, obesity and poor nutrition among kids increase, the need for positive, encouraging influences also needs to increase. Hoopfest seeks to make a difference in our area by encouraging healthy living, active lifestyles and teamwork in a way that is approachable and fun for kids. By sponsoring Hoopfest, you are not only receiving the ability to share a message of health to open ears, but you are helping to support the bigger picture of a creating a healthier future for generations to come. Who is Hoopie? Hoopie is the official mascot of Hoopfest. His main goal is to provide kids with fun, practical ways to maintain an active, healthy lifestyle. To complete his mission, and to promote the event, Hoopie makes several appearances during Hoopfest and throughout the year.
