Ma alaea The Maʻalaea District of Maui is loted in Central Maui about six miles south of Wailuku, where the Honoapiʻilani Highway (Hwy 0) reaches the south coast. The Island Size of Maui: Maui is the second largest of the Hawaiian Islands with a land area of 729 square miles. It is 48 miles long and 26 miles across at its widest point.
