ABOUT THE VICTORIA CURLING CLUB The Victoria Curling Club is proud to have been selected to host the Scotties Tournament of Hearts BC Women s Curling Championship from January 2-7, 2018. This top competitive event will feature eight of BC s best women s curling teams, bringing athletes, families and friends to enjoy the recreational and tourism activities Victoria has to offer. We want you and your business to be part of this exciting event! We have a sponsorship package that will bring your business to the attention of: Curlers from across the Province Curlers who visit the Victoria Curling Club throughout the season Curlers who actively participate in league play and bonspiels Companies and their employees who participate in team building sessions & rentals School and youth program participants and their families International students and their hosts at our Learn to Curl sessions Did you know? Founded in 1950, the Victoria Curling Club (VCC) has provided recreational and competitive curling opportunities to the citizens of South Vancouver Island for more than 65 years. There are hundreds of hours of volunteer labour, machinery and supervisory time invested in its building to continually offer a first class facility that not only is a credit to its curling participants. It is also available to the community at large to host any number of functions. Our Community Connections Curling is a lifelong sport that teaches the benefits of physical activity at any age, fair play, sportsmanship and team building. In addition to its weekly leagues, the Victoria Curling Club offers various curling development programs for youth in the area through school Learn to Curl programs, the VCC Curling Academy and other community user groups. The Victoria Curling Club is also an advocate of Curling as a Life Long Sport offering many opportunities for seniors to play at beginner, social and competitive levels. The Victoria Curling Club is committed to curling as a sustainable sport in the area, having qualified instructors available for lessons for individuals, businesses and multi-sport athletes. It also hosts regional, provincial and national curling events for local athletes pursuing curling excellence.
