Miss Rodeo Nevada 2016 Contestant RELEASE OF LIABILITY I hereby enter the Miss Rodeo Nevada 2017 Pageant to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada and I hereby submit the non-refundable entry fee of $300.00 and hereby agree to abide by all rules and regulations pertaining to this event. I understand that as a contestant in the Miss Rodeo Nevada 2017 Pageant there are certain risks involved in competing in the Miss Rodeo Nevada 2017 Pageant and in participating in the pageant events, I hereby assume all risk of injury to myself or damage or loss to my property resulting from my participation in the Miss Rodeo Nevada 2017 Pageant to be held on May 5 th, 6 th, and 7 th, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have full knowledge that Miss Rodeo Nevada Association may do a Background Check on me. I also understand that, if selected as Miss Rodeo Nevada 2017, I must compete in the Miss Rodeo America 2018 Pageant. The Miss Rodeo America Pageant 2018 Participation Agreement includes a clause that I will be agreeing to a Background Check. Thank you notes MUST be sent to all suppliers, supporters immediately after Pageant. I, Miss Rodeo Nevada 2017, hereby acknowledge receipt of the above mentioned awards and gifts. As outlined in the Miss Rodeo Nevada Contract, as well as the Miss Rodeo Nevada 2017 Pageant Rules and Regulations, I understand that if for any reason the MRA National Director-Nevada and the Miss Rodeo Nevada Association, deems it necessary to remove my title/crown, then all of the aforementioned awards, gifts and scholarships will be returned to the Miss Rodeo Nevada Association. If for any reason the item cannot be returned to the Miss Rodeo Nevada Association, then the MRN Association will be reimbursed financially in order that they may purchase the award/gifts for the young lady chosen to fulfill the Miss Rodeo Nevada 2017 title I addition, I understand that all money and in-kind donations received from the time I win the title of Miss Rodeo Nevada 2017 through the end of my year is for the sole purpose of promoting the title of MRN 2017 and preparing for my competition of the Miss Rodeo America 2018 Pageant. If for any reason my crown is removed or I relinquish my title, I will refund any money and/or in-kind donations so that this money will assist the young lady who will assume the role of Miss Rodeo Nevada 2017. I will return all awards, gifts and prizes that were presented to me as part of my title. Miss Rodeo Nevada Association Fundraising and Reimbursement Guidelines All monies raised, donated, directed or given to Miss Rodeo Nevada or The Miss Rodeo Nevada Association will be given to the Director of Finance for proper record keeping per the guidelines stated below. MRNA will provide the following to MRN Stationery and business cards Autograph sheets- begin with 500 Pro Rodeo Sports News subscription- for year of reign Use of perpetual prizes including but not limited to - crown, chaps, arena shirts, sashes. These will be returned no later than the first day of the 2018 MRNA pageant. Sponsorship Packages 1. MRN will be given all necessary material and information to prepare sponsorship packages. With assistance from the Association, MRN will establish her own target market to solicit sponsorship dollars. 2. Money raised from personal sponsorship packages by MRN will be divided between the Association (30%) and MRN (70%). 3. The Association will solicit like sponsorships and retain 100% of the proceeds. These funds are used to fund various things for MRN i.e. tear sheets, business cards, travel expenses etc. as well as MRNA business expenses. Fundraising The Association may have fundraisers and assist MRN with personal fundraising efforts. Details will be determined by the Association. MRN will be required to be in attendance and participate in the fundraiser. The Association will retain 100% of all monies raised at this event. MRN will be required to host a Fundraiser at her expense. This Fundraiser will be considered MRN s major fundraising event that will help fund her travels and expenses throughout her reign in addition to her sponsorship packages. MRN and or her family must be in close communication with the MRA National Director - Nevada as to her plans for the Fundraiser. The Association will be available to assist and guide to make this effort a success. 70% of all monies raised will go to MRN and 30% will go to the Association. Additional Fundraising Events It is recommended that MRN actively participate in raising funds during her reign to support her travel endeavors and preparations for MRA. This can include, but is not limited to BBQ, door prizes, auction, raffles, gas cards, dress and or jewelry donations. MRN is NOT limited to one activity. All fund raising events MUST be approved by the Association. Money raised from these events will be divided 70% to MRN and 30% to the Association. Page 13
Reimbursement Policy MRN will be reimbursed for purchases made after her selection as MRN through the selection of MRN 2018 on a monthly basis by the Director of Finance or her designee once the proper expense form with copies of the receipts are received. MRN must have funds available in the account in order to receive reimbursement. A copy of all requests for reimbursement MUST be sent to the National Director for approval no later than 60 days from expense occurrence. Reimbursable Items (for Queen only) example: if Queen and family/friends eat out, Queen part must be on separate bill to be submitted. Some reimbursement will be drawn from the Association s account; these items may include, but are not limited to: Required Travel expenses including transportation, housing and food MRA Pageant Stationery Business Cards $500 towards chaps ( if ordered by deadline date of July 1 st of reigning year) Any coaching required by MRNA All other expenses will be paid out of MRN s account understanding there will be NO REIMBUSEMENT without a copy of a paid receipt submitted to the Director of Finance or her designee and without the explicit permission from the National Director to spend such funds. Optional travel is defined as travel that is not required by MRNA and is not directly paid for by the Association. Any optional travel must be pre-approved by the Association. Each expense greater than $200 must be pre-approved by a Board of Director in order to be considered for reimbursement. Travel Expense Limits For Queen only Hotel $200/ night - MRN is encouraged to stay with host families if possible Food - $80/day Air Travel - reservations must be made at least 14 days prior to travel date unless approved by the Association. It is the intent of the Association to reimburse MRN for all approved reimbursable expenditures during her reign as long as funding is available to do so. It is NOT the intent of the Association for MRN or her family to profit financially from her reign as Miss Rodeo Nevada. Any funds left unspent at the end of MRN s reign will become the property of MRNA. *I have read and understand the stated Agreement: Signature Date Page 14
