Dear Instructor, I would like to welcome you to North Hagerstown Highs School s Indoor competition held on March 25, 2017. I hope everyone will have an enjoyable time here at North. Please read over the information in this packet carefully and if you have any questions please feel free to email or call. Enclosed are directions to North Hagerstown High School, a school/parking map, schedule, gym layout, and general rules and guidelines. Ten wristbands per unit will be handed out when you check in the day of the show. Performers will be stamped. The only pass accepted is the All Access KIDA Pass. There will be parking attendants to direct you to the check in and loading areas. Busses will park down the street in the old County Market parking lot. Please advise your bus drivers to stay to the right of the parking lot and not to park in front of the Rite Aid. Upon arrival please check in at the registration table located at the participant entrance. You will receive a schedule, school map, and 10 wristbands. Please bring your show write-up and submit it at check-in as well. The doors will open and tickets will be available at 9:00am. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. The auditorium will be used for housing units and locker rooms are available for changing. Do not leave valuables anywhere in the facility. NORTH HAGERSTOWN HIGH SCHOOL K. I. D. A. INDOOR SHOW RULES AND GUIDELINES 1. All equipment is subject to inspection by school officials before being used on the floor. 2. Unload buses at participants entrance, marked on accompanying map and located at the flagpole that is visible from Pennsylvania Ave. Park the buses where indicated on the map and marked by directional signs and parking attendants. 3. Participants arriving in privately-owned vehicles may be dropped off at the participant entrance but vehicles MUST park in the spectator parking lot (see map and follow SPECTATOR signs). 4. Most paved streets on campus are one-way, some are not used during the competition. Please observe DO NOT ENTER signs and traffic cones. 5. All activities of the competition will be conducted on the ground level area of the school building. No entry to second level or stairwells is permitted. 6. All food and drink must be consumed within the cafeteria area. 7. Spectator entry to and exit from the gymnasium is prohibited during performances. Enter/exit to occur only during brief periods between performances. 8. Spinning/twirling of equipment is allowed in the auditorium (on stage only), band room, outside the building away from vehicular and pedestrian traffic and during the performance only. 9. Parking will be marked and under the direction of individuals assigned to perform such duty. Abiding by parking directions is essential. 10. The school building and grounds are smoke-free; alcoholic beverages and controlled substances are PROHIBITED. 11. Instructions for placement of large equipment and backdrops will be provided upon arrival and will be based on weather conditions on the day of the event. 12. A sound system with announcer will be provided. Please type all announcements and have them ready when you check in. 13. For answers to questions or resolution of problems: contact the participant registration table. 14. First Aid will be on site throughout the day located at the participant exit from the gymnasium and concession stand. 15. Participants and those with wristbands will be permitted to sit on the visitor side of the bleachers only. 16. The Washington County Public School System, North Hagerstown High School, or the North Hagerstown High School Band Boosters will not be responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen items or for personal injury.

Directions to North Hagerstown High School From the North: Interstate 81 South to Maryland Exit 9, Maugans Ave. (2.2 miles south of the Mason/ Dixon line.) At the end of the exit ramp go left onto Maugans Ave. Follow All Traffic instructions below. From the East: Interstate 70 West to Exit 26, I-81 North, toward Hagerstown and Harrisburg. Go 6.3 miles north on I-81 to Exit 9, Maugans Ave. At the end of the exit ramp go right onto Maugans Ave. Follow All Traffic instructions below. From the South: Interstate 81 North to Maryland Exit 9, Maugans Ave. At the end of the exit ramp go right onto Maugans Ave. Follow All Traffic instructions below. From the West: Interstate 70 East to Exit 26, I-81 North, toward Hagerstown and Harrisburg. All Traffic: Continue approximately 0.6 miles east on Maugans Ave. to the second traffic signal. Turn right onto US-11/ Pennsylvania Ave (Pizza Hut and Martin s should be on your left after you make the turn.)
