KCC olfgolfing The best way to describe the characteristics of the Killarney Country Club golf course would be that it is a narrow park-style course with a premium on driving accuracy. It is a Robert Trent-Jones design and is a challenging and well-manicured par 70 layout of 6154m for men and a par 72 for the ladies playing at 5294m. The greens are fairly generous in size which gives you a good chance of scoring well when playing from the fairways. However, miss a fairway and you can almost be sure of having to play a recovery shot from amongst the trees. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our Golf Director, Kevin Rakow, and his staff. Enjoy the generous putting green before teeing off on our championship golf course designed by the internationally renowned Robert Trent-Jones, and maintained by Golf Data. Golfers can enjoy a round amidst the beautiful plant and birdlife on the course. Our golf team will assist you with all your timesheet requirements, starting of the field, marshalling and scoring after the round, as well as facilitating the results for prize-giving. Several function venues are available for prize-giving; we can accommodate various group sizes and needs from smaller groups needing drinks and snacks to larger ones wanting a more formal prize-giving and dinner after a day on the course. Killarney Country Club also offers bowls, tennis and squash as alternatives to those who do not play golf. PG 1

LIGHTNING PROCEDURE One long siren Temporary suspension. Course is closed and play is suspended Two short sirens Play can resume Two back-to-back blasts Play terminated Players must abide by the rules. Anyone who ignores the siren and continues to play does so at their own risk. Lightning shelters can be found at the 8th and 3rd tee box, as well as at the 4th and 7th tee box on the first nine and at the 15th tee on the back nine. Always be aware of any changes in the weather. Being on a golf course or any open area during a lightning storm is dangerous. Never take shelter under a tree or in the tunnels. PG 3

GOLF COURSE DRESS CODE - NO jeans, T-shirts, sweat pants, tennis shorts. Shirts must have collarsand sleeves. - Tailored slacks, including chinos or tailored shorts. - Short white socks only. - Golf shoes with soft spikes. Metal spikes are not allowed at all. Trainers are allowed STANDARD OFFERING - Cloakrooms (ladies and gentlemen) with shower facilities. NB No locker facilities available - Registration tables with black stretch cloths and 4 chairs. Set up outside our Golf Office on the paved area. - Umbrellas at the registration area if needed. You can provide your own branded umbrellas/gazebos - Scorecards. Pencils must be brought in or purchased through Killarney Pro Shop - Starting is handled by Killarney Country Club Golf Office staff. If scoring is required, there is a charge of R1000. - The club is also very proud to offer free Wi-Fi. Obtain the password from either the main reception or the main bar ON-COURSE ACTIVITY Branding and/or Sponsored Holes. All branding must be outdoor-friendly (A-frames or pop-ups/teardrop banners/telescopic flags/etc. Indoor-style, pull-up banners will not be put out). - It is the responsibility of each sponsor to erect their own branding on the actual golf day, as well as perform the breakdown thereof afterwards. We require that all branding be delivered to the Club the day before, where possible, otherwise by 08:30 on day; all banner bags must be clearly marked. - All branding must be removed from the Club s property at the close of the actual golf day. The Club accepts no responsibility for safekeeping and/or storage. *Branding/Design Services. Killarney Country Club can recommend such services if required. Continued on following page PG 4

ON-COURSE ACTIVITY (CONTINUED) WATERING Holes Killarney Country Club provides the following: (We recommend a maximum of four watering holes on the short Par 3 holes: 4, 6, 14 and 17.) - Soft drinks, mineral water and Energade charged on consumption - A table, 2 chairs and ice per watering hole Please ensure that you provide personnel to man each watering hole as well as an umbrella or gazebo to provide shade at each site. Drinks ordered through the Club for any sponsors will be charged to the main account, where client must then recover monies due from sponsors Killarney Country Club prefers not to deal with sponsors directly. All drinks orders must be placed with Killarney Country Club no later than 5 working days prior to the date of the golf day. Sponsored Watering Holes Own stock provided: R2000 surcharge per sponsored watering hole is applicable. Sponsors must provide their own tables, chairs, ice, cooler boxes, gazebos, etc. Killarney Country Club does not supply anything where own drinks are brought in. Roaming Vendor Cart Soft drinks, mineral water and Energade is sold to players on the course on a cash basis. R300 levy charged for the cart s availability. AFTER GOLF Drinks Players can enjoy drinks after their round on our verandah and in the main bar, either on a cash or cost-on-consumption basis the latter being billed to the master account. The same applies to the bar at the prize-giving event any limits/restrictions to be advised if on account. Bar hours: 10:00 to midnight. PRIZE GIVING VENUE Killarney Bowl Our regular prize giving venue is the Killarney Bowl comfortably accommodating 120 people at tables of 8 each. Room hire at R3500. NB: Different / smaller / larger function venues to be arranged directly with Karen, so that she may check availability in the KCC function diary. Please liaise with Karen Meyer on (011) 442 7411 or e-mail regarding all aspects of catering and the prize giving event itself, including any AV/Sound/Lighting/etc. requirements. Please also advise should you have entertainment in whichever form or an auction this is for our information so that we know what to expect on the day of your event. CHARGES - Staffing charges at R250 minimum per waiter (minimum 5 hour shift) to service your function. - Staff transport levy for all evening functions at R50 per waiter. - Linen in this particular venue is optional and charged @ R80 per table for standard white tablecloths / serviettes. - Refundable damage & breakage deposit at R5000. - 10% staff gratuity charged on all food & beverage. CONFIRMATION OF GOLF DAY BOOKING A deposit is required to secure your provisional booking. The Club reserves the right, should the deposit not have been paid within 72 hours of booking, to cancel your provisional booking immediately. CANCELLATION / POSTPONEMENT Should the golf day be cancelled within 60 days or less from the date of your event, the deposit paid will be forfeited. Any cancellation or postponement must be directed to. PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE Public liability insurance cover against golf ball damage is compulsory for all golf day events at KCC. We require written confirmation thereof and the rand value of your cover ensuring that your day is insured against errant golf balls being hit on to the highway and/or areas out of bounds. Should you not have your own insurance, Killarney Country Club can arrange once-off public liability insurance cover with our broker, VCIB the flat rate is R1000 and cover is for R5 million.
