Winner of the 2017 Four Season Garden Award is... Annually the MinervaFlora Committee gives out a beautification award called the Four Season Garden Award. This year 2017 the award is for Mid-Autumn. Kellie Carmichael, 2631 Wildwood Rd is the winner. Judges were out around October 15. They were judging gardens for color, curb appeal, variety of plants, and overall appearance of the property. Kellie will receive a certificate of recognition and her name and address will be added to a plaque of award winners displayed at the Community Building. Runners up included 2692 Wildwood, 2829 Lakewood, and 2794 Lakewood. I need your help. Our new My MPCA Newsletter and the mympca.org website need more photos! If you have great photos from this past year that you would like to submit please send them to michellejoyparsons@gmail.com. And if you snap a great picture in the future, send that too! You will get credit for the photo if used and I only ask that if you send a photo with children s faces that they are your children and you are ok with it being online.
NOVEMBER 15 Wednesday 7pm MPCA Meeting* - November 15th at 7pm DECEMBER 10 Sunday 5:30-8:30pm The annual Carriage Ride* event is very popular; an event to look forward to each year. This years Carriage Rides will be held on Sunday, December 10th, 5:30p-8:30p. Join your friends and neighbors for an evening of fun and holiday cheer! We will have horse drawn trolleys giving rides through the neighborhood, enjoy carroling and holiday decorations. We will have refreshments in the Community Building, and of course hot cocoa! You must be a MPCA member to register for the event. Registrations are due by 12/1 and can me made at www.mympca.org. Carriage Ride registration updates: The preferred method for registration will be using the registration form at www.mympca.org. We will also accept reservations via email at carriagerides@mympca.org. If necessary, you may use the coupon below and leave in MPCA mailbox inside the community building. In order to accommodate as many families as possible there is a max of ten riders per household. You may order online, pay online, and pick up at these events as well. $5 per kit which contains sand, bags, and candles for 5 luminaries. Place in your yard along the street on Christmas Eve.

Hawthorne Happenings Coming up for the month of November Hawthorne will be busy celebrating the students achievements and starting many more great programs! We will also be continuing fundraising efforts by having a City BBQ day on Thursday November 9th at the Westerville location, where for the duration of the ENTIRE day we will earn 25% back on sales that present the flyer in print or on mobile phones! We look forward to another great month with the students.
