Fox Meadow now has the list for the children for this year's Adopt a Family Christmas season. If you are interested in the Christmas Giving Tree please contact Dawn Bennett for the list of children (330) 723-4653 ext. 400. All gifts should be wrapped and labeled either by tag or gift card with child's name, id number, and age. It would be appreciated if the gifts could be brought to the Fox Meadow house by December 15, 2014 so that we may deliver them to the Children's Center at 200 Highland Drive in Medina on December 16, 2014 between the hours of 9 AM and 6 PM. Thanks to all for making November a great month; all scheduled events were well attended and enjoyed. With December upon us, we have planned many must attend events. Traditional activities such as Breakfast with Santa on Sunday the 14th and our ever popular New Year s Eve Party on Wednesday the 31st along with new events such as our Kid s Cookie Decorating Party and our Ugly Christmas Sweater Party. I am happy to announce, if you are not aware, the card system for the Fitness Center is now operational. Please contact Brittany Starnoni as current keys need to be reprogrammed in order to be used. I would like to thank Brittany for her continued efforts as she has added 7 new Members in the past months. We have a wonderful off-season membership program available for new Members. If you have friends, family or clients that are interested in Membership, please contact Brittany and she will reach out to them on your behalf. Also, when referring a new Member, you will receive a referral credit to your account! New merchandise is arriving daily at both Fox Meadow and Weymouth Pro Shops. We have switched out older styles for new. Please make sure to visit the Pro Shops for your holiday shopping! As a friendly reminder, due to the holidays, the house will be closed Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24, Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25 and New Years Day, Thursday, January 1. Fox Meadow Country M e m b e r s h i p N e w s l e t t e r D e c e m b e r 2014 Page 7 Turf Talk with Mat Gary, Superintendent Greetings Fox Meadow Members, December is here, along with the cold and the snow! We have completed blowing out the irrigation system and winterized the restrooms. Please remember to not use these facilities until the spring. We have begun to steam clean and degrease all of the equipment, preparing for winter maintenance. During this process we are able to inspect and determine any possible repair that may be needed over the winter months. The driving range tee project was a success! It has been seeded, aerified multiple times and drug to smooth the surface. I am hoping for good weather early in the spring enabling good seed germination. All of these tasks will provide all of our Members a better driving range experience. We will continue to cut down dead trees as weather permits, hoping to clear our any and all dead trees by spring. It s hard to believe that Christmas is upon us. I hope that everyone had a great time spending Thanksgiving with their friends and family. With Christmas just around the corner make sure to stop down in the Golf Shop and see our new merchandise. We have received NEW Foot Joy apparel as well as the 2015 Shoe Collection that will be arriving any day. There will be Gift Wrapping available for any purchases in the Month of December. With the freezing temperatures and a snow covered golf course it will be IMPERATIVE to check in with the golf shop if we have a few nice days and an opportunity to play. Please do not go out onto the golf course unless you have notified the Golf Shop first. There is a vast amount of damage that could be caused by golf car traffic or foot traffic across the greens. I want to let everyone know that I will have the Hitting Net set up by appointment to allow those who want to take a lesson or have a place indoor to hit golf balls. Keep your game sharp over the next few months and have a leg up on your friends who pack them away for the winter. I will be offering Buy 4 and get the 5 th lesson on me Packages this winter; they make a great gift idea as well! Please feel free to call or e-mail me for all of the details. As we inch closer to the 2015 Season, we are getting closer to finalizing the dates for next year. If you, or your business, are thinking about hosting a Golf Outing next year, now is the time to do so. I want the membership to have the first opportunity to book those prime time, or offseason dates that fill up fast. No outing is too big or to small, let us here at Fox Meadow make it the best outing yet! I want to thank everyone who has made my first year back at Fox Meadow a great one! I could not be happier with my decision to come back and work for a great club which houses the BEST Membership. It is you who makes this such a great place to work.
