6 Dear Parents & Campers, We are delighted that you ve chosen UTSA Baseball Camp. For 18 years, I ve served as Camp Coordinator for Roadrunner Baseball Camps and have enjoyed the investment in youth and HS Baseball players across the state of Texas and here in San Antonio. I know you have many choices out there for camp, but we believe UTSA CAMPS are a great option for the development of your athlete, hearing and experiencing the lectures and drills that can help you improve, and enjoying a D1 level camp for a reasonable price. If you follow UTSA or UTSA Athletics, you know that UTSA has changed a bunch in the last two decades. Growing from 18,000 students to over 30,000 students. With a great city, and a beautiful campus on the Northwest side of San Antonio, we have seen this campus blossom into a destination for many students across our state, nation and beyond. For Alumni, fans or interested families, our best days are ahead of us at UTSA and we are excited about the next generation of Roadrunners. In 2014, UTSA Athletics moved into Conference USA after many years in the Southland Conference and one season in the Western Athletic. This has been an incredible move for the baseball program at UTSA. Over 8 of the past 12 seasons of CUSA Baseball, our league has ranked #5 in RPI out of 33 baseball conferences. 90 players have been drafted by MLB teams from this conference in the past 3 seasons. It s an incredible conference and equally big opportunity for this program to dream on the highest goals in college baseball. I would encourage all moms and dads to come watch the Roadrunners and become fans of this program. We want to build something great at UTSA and we can t do it without you, and beyond that, your aspiring young athletes will enjoy and be challenged by watching some big time college baseball right here on the 1604 Loop. Roadrunner Baseball Camp is one facet of a baseball program, but a very important one. We would love for any kid wanting to improve his skills, foster his love for the game and one day dream of playing college baseball to attend this camp. This past year, over 700 kids attended baseball camp at UTSA and we are thankful for your support and trust. It s incredible to watch this camp grow and see eight current players on our roster be recruited out of Roadrunner Baseball Camp. This is one of the fruits of the labor but the greatest of all is seeing the excitement and joy in kids who really love this game. We hope to encourage that love and look forward to seeing you at one of our camps very soon. Thank you again for choosing UTSA Baseball Camp. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please email me at david.marshall@utsa.edu or go online at goutsa.com and get registered. We look forward to seeing you very soon. Sincerely, Jason Marshall UTSA Baseball Head Coach CAMP MISSION STATEMENT To invest in the lives of baseball players by providing a quality learning environment and coaching baseball fundamentals and skills, and promoting the essential qualities of excellence found in teams and individuals.
