FACILITY INFORMATION Construction of Baylor Ballpark was completed prior to the 2000 season and was officially dedicated in 2001. Baylor Ballpark, named the number three college baseball stadium in the country by a Baseball America survey in 2003, has a capacity of 5,000. The seating capacity is made up of 3,200 chair back seating, 42 boxes closest to the field holding 650 seats, bleachers down the left field line for 1,000, and a grass berm down the left field line. An artificial halo lays behind home plate and is complimented by a state of the art laser leveled drainage and irrigation system throughout the field. The Steve Macko Locker Room is located under the third base grandstand and has direct access to the home dugout. The 1,200 square foot locker room has 40 custom built ash lockers with furnished cabinets to hold television as well other electronic equipment. The team s weight room is located underneath the first- base grandstand and boasts a 2,800 square foot area, equipped with state- of- the- art weight equipment. Adjacent to the weight room is the Mickey Sullivan room. The 1,200 square foot room serves as an ideal location for a meeting area, press conferences, and team meals. Baylor Ballpark has hosted the 1999 NCAA Regional and Super Regional; 2000 NCAA Regional; 2005 NCAA Regional and Super Regional; 2012 Super Regional 6
DIRECTIONS From the north: drive south on I- 35, take University Parks Drive exit and turn east (left) onto University Parks Drive. The Turner Athletic Complex is on your left before you reach the Ferrell Center. From the south: drive north on I- 35, take University Parks Drive exit and turn east (right) onto University Parks Drive. The Turner Athletic Complex is on your left before you reach the Ferrell Center. From the east: drive west on Hwy. 84 to I- 35. Turn south on I- 35 (left), take the University Parks Drive exit and turn east (left) onto University Parks Drive. The Turner Athletic Complex is on your left before you reach the Ferrell Center. From the west: drive east on Hwy. 84 to Hwy. 6/Loop 340. Turn east (right) and take Hwy. 6/Loop 340 to I- 35. Turn north (left) on I- 35, take the University Parks Drive exit and turn east (right) onto University Parks Drive. The Turner Athletic Complex is on your left before you reach the Ferrell Center. Parking: General parking is available throughout the entirety of Lot- C with the exclusion of visiting team bus parking in Lot- C, which is closest to the first base gate. Tailgating: Tailgaters are encouraged to contact Josie Drago (Josie_Drago@Baylor.edu, (254) 710-3279) and will normally park on the grass behind the first base grandstand free of charge. If tailgaters plan to use a tent secured with spikes a dig test is required. Patrons driving RVs should park along the curb closest to the Crew building. 7

The closest hospital is Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center: Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center 100 Hillcrest Medical Blvd. Waco, TX 76712 (254) 202-2000 Batting Cage: Two batting cages are available on site and are located near the first base side of Baylor Ballpark. Baylor reserves the right to use the batting cages first in preparation for the game. Dugout: The first base dugout is designated for the visiting team and can be accessed by entering the field through the first base gate. Two phones are located in each dugout for communication with the Press Box and their respective Bullpens. Laundry Service: Post- game laundry is available upon request for a fee. Please contact Director of Baseball Operations, Seth Dorsey, at (254) 709-7601. Locker Room: Changing area is located directly behind the first base dugout with bathrooms. Showers are located at the Ferrell Center and are available upon request. Parking: Visiting team busses are to park along the curb outside the first base gate. General admission parking is free throughout the Ferrell Center parking lot except for the reserved spots in Lot D. Practice Times: Batting practice and infield practice are available on game day based upon the pre- game schedule (please refer to page 10). Additional practice times are available upon request. GAME DAY INFORMATION (A-Z) Radio: The Jarrell McCracken Visiting Broadcast Booth (205) is located on the first base side of the Press Box and has a seating capacity of three. The visiting radio booth can be accessed by the Press Box elevator located on the concourse level. Scouting Seats: Four seats (two for each team) will be reserved behind home plate for scouting purposes (Box 22, Row 1, Seats 1-4). Seating: The visiting team fan seating is typically in the top of Sections 102 and in the mid to lower area of Section 103. Showers: Showers are available upon request. Towels and soap will be provided. Following the completion of the game the visiting team bus will be taken to the Ferrell Center tunnel where team showers are located. Sport Medicine: The following will be provided in the dugout: o One (1) 10 gallon cooler of ice water o One (1) 10 gallon cooler of Gatorade o Small hydrocollator unit with pads o Cups, towels, ice, ice bags, and a blood borne pathogen kit o One (1) water cooler with cups will be provided in the bullpen o Please contact Assistant Director of Athletic Training, Josh Ogden, at (254) 7097837 for more information. GROUND RULES Protective fences in front of dugouts are live. Black surface at entrances to dugout are dead. Player making a legal catch and entering the dugout may throw from the dugout. Entire length of dugout (all green concrete) including camera wells is dead. Balls which pass over protective screens at each end of dugouts and do not leave the playing field or make contact with any green portion of the dugout, and return to the playing field remain in play. Balls, which fall behind protective screens, are dead. Guideline wire above each dugout is dead. Poles they attach to are dead. Area above the break on the backstop netting is dead. Fair balls leaving the park over the outfield fence are homeruns. All poles are outside the park. 12
WEATHER POLICIES & PROCEDURES Baylor University uses MxVision WeatherSentry for up to the minute weather information including: tornadoes, thunderstorms, hail, and lightning. Once Severe Weather is Detected Within 30 Miles: Once lightning has entered within a 30 mile radius of Baylor Ballpark, the Game Manager will notify the umpires, both coaching staffs, and any administrators that Baylor is tracking severe weather in the area. Once Lightning is Detected Within 15 Miles: At the next stoppage of play the Game Manager will notify the umpires, both coaching staffs, and any administrators that lightning has struck within 15 miles and that a delay in play due to weather is possible. Once Lightning is Detected Within 8 Miles: The Game Manager will immediately notify the umpires, both coaching staffs, and any administration that lightning has struck within 8 miles of Baylor Ballpark and that play must be stopped. Shelter Location: Located in the first base weight room, which can be accessed by the dugout corridor. Continuing Play: Play will continue once it has been confirmed that no lightning strikes have occurred within an 8 mile radius for 30 minutes. If lightning strikes within the 8 mile radius the 30 minute count down will begin again. There will be a mutually agreed upon warm- up period following this decision to allow players to prepare themselves for competition. Lightning Detected within 30 miles: All parites notivied of developing storm Lightning Detected within 15 miles: All parties are notivied of probable delay Lightning Strike within 8 miles: All parties are notivied and play is stopped Lightning has left the 8 mile radius for 30 min.: Play will continue 13
