WELCOME TO DYNASTY Every child should have an activity that they truly love and look forward to. This activity should also challenge them to grow their confidence and athletic abilities. We have teams at all ability and age levels so even if your athlete has never cheered before we have the perfect team for them!! At Dynasty, we like to say We are more than just a team, we are a family. We truly want Dynasty to be a place our cheerleaders feel welcome and consider a second home. We encourage team unity at every level and feel this is necessary for our teams to be successful. Dynasty is the place to work hard at the sport you love and make amazing new friends along the way. We are excited about your interest in Dynasty and look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into our growing family. TEAM PLACEMENT INFORMATION During team placements athletes will be evaluated on their jumps, motions, and tumbling skills. Athletes will also try on practice wear for the upcoming year and write down their sizes, and quantities. Cheerleaders should wear a T-shirt, gym shorts, and clean tennis shoes, have their hair pulled back, and have no jewelry on. Once athletes have turned in all paperwork and have been evaluated by a coach they may leave. Sunday April 23 rd, 2017 Ages 6-8 12:00pm-1:00pm Ages 9-11 1:00pm-2:00pm Ages 12-13 2:30pm -3:30pm Ages 14-18 3:30pm - 4:30 pm If you are unable to attend team placements on April 23 rd please call Dynasty to arrange a private evaluation prior to April 23 rd Use your age as of August 31 st, 2017 to determine your session for team placements. The following items needs to be completed and turned in at team placements. 1. Waiver ( page 14 of this packet ) - Signed 2. Participant Agreement (page 13 of this packet) - Signed 3. All Star Team Placement Registration Form ( page 12 of this packet )- Signed 4. Copy of Cheerleaders Birth Certificate 5. $100 Annual Registration and practice wear needs to be paid at or before team placements ( April 23 rd ). Cheerleaders will be placed on a team according to their age and skill level. Individuals are placed on teams at the discretion of the coaches and within the guidelines and standards created by the USASF. Teams are designed with all of these factors in mind. There will be athletes on every team that tumble, stunt, jump, and fly, etc. at various levels. We place athletes based on what is best for them as individuals and the team as a whole. Every athlete is on the team for a reason please trust the coaches. We work extremely hard and push every athlete to reach their highest individual potential, while also teaching them the importance of team work. If an individual does not maintain their skills or fulfill their designated role, they may be moved to another team. Examples include, but are not limited to: losing a tumbling skill or refusing to fly or base. This is not a punishment for the athlete, but will instead allow the athlete to excel on a team that is more comfortable to them while also allowing the team the best chance for success. After team placements are announced if you have a question about where your athlete was placed please email us at DynastyAllStars@aol.com to set up an appointment with the coaches. Team placements and the weekly practice schedule for the 2017-2018 season will be posted on www.dynastyallstarcheer.com under the member s area by 5:00pm on May 8th. The season begins May 9th and goes through April 2018. Page 3 of 14

EXPECTATIONS IN THE GYM COMPETITIONS -All competitions are mandatory. Missing a competition may be grounds for dismissal from Dynasty. -We sit together as a gym at competitions. This promotes a sense of gym unity and allows us to cheer for each of our teams with equal enthusiasm. -All teams are expected to remain at competitions until after their awards session and team picture is complete. -Know your scheduled meeting time with your team and be on time with your athlete ready to go. PRACTICE New This Year: All Team practices, tumbling classes, and open gyms are closed. This means parents should not stay during these times. Parents may come in for the last 10 minutes of each class or practice. This ensures the athletes can be focused and helps eliminate the possibility of distractions. -Practice starts at the scheduled time. Athletes must be in the gym, with hair back and shoes on at the start of practice. No jewelry! -Official practice wear is to be worn to all team practices. When you look like a team you practice like a team! -Athletes are expected to show up 10 minutes prior to practice to stretch. Flyers are expected to show up 20 minutes prior to practice to stretch. -Athletes are expected to be at every practice, when one athlete is gone several stunts cannot practice that day. (We do realize that families vacation in the summer, Practices in the two weeks leading up to a competition are mandatory please adjust your schedules accordingly.) -If you are sick (not contagious) or injured you need to show up to observe and support your team. You also need to find a substitute for yourself. Please see our substitution policy on page 9 of this packet. -If you are contagious you need to have a parent call Dynasty to let us know you will be gone so coaches can plan accordingly -School cheerleading games are excused. School cheerleading practices are not excused. We recommend choosing a sport that has the least amount of conflicts. - Parents, please do not keep your athlete home from practice as a consequence. This is a team sport. When one team member misses it is a detriment to the entire team. -Athletes should be able to handle schoolwork and all-star practices, homework is not an acceptable excuse for missing practice. -2 absences or 3 late arrivals in a 30-day period will result in meeting between the coach, cheerleader and parent. -Cell phones need to be turned off, and in your bags. Athletes are not allowed to check phones during practice. If there is an emergency and you need to get a hold of your athlete please call the Dynasty phone. -Coaches may call extra practices as needed, especially leading up to national competitions. These practices are mandatory. Page 8 of 14

SUBSTITION POLICY If you are going to be gone or know you need to sit out for an injury you need to find a sub to replace you. It can be someone from a level above or a level below your team level, and should be physically able to do your parts. You are responsible for finding and organizing your own sub and letting them know the times they are supposed to be at practice. You also need to let your coach know who the sub is prior to the start of practice. This is an expectation that has been implemented on all teams, so you may be asked to sub in for other teams as well. Reasons to get a sub include sickness, injury, or family vacation. EXPECTATIONS OUTSIDE THE GYM -Dynasty athletes are not allowed to participate in activities at other All Star Cheerleading Gyms. This includes, but is not limited to: tumbling, classes, lessons or open gyms. -Dynasty All Star Cheer and Tumbling LLP is a unique, sole owned corporation that relies on our company name and logo for brand identity and are valuable assets to our company. In order to help us protect our trademark rights and strengthen our corporate and brand identity, we retain the right to revoke all usage of our company name and logo; in whole or in part. The Dynasty logo and brand name are not to be reproduced or used without expressed written consent from Dynasty. SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY Dynasty believes it is very important to represent yourself well on social media. Content that is considered inappropriate: Anything that is aimed to bully, embarrass, or degrade any individual or group of individuals. This includes the use of profanity and content that is overly provocative. Please remember anything you say online affects not only you, but also your teammates and Dynasty as a whole. Never post any negative comments on social media. Athletes at Dynasty are asked not to have any account link to an anonymous platform. These have been known to cause nothing but drama and hurt feelings. If it is a continual problem, this may be grounds for dismissal from Dynasty. Page 9 of 14

I understand and acknowledge that the activities that I or my child engage in while on the premises or under the auspices of DAS pose known and unknown risks which could result in injury, paralysis, death, emotional distress, or damage to my, my child, to property, or to third parties. The following describes some, but not all, of those risks: Cheerleading and gymnastics, including performances of stunts and use of trampolines, entail certain risks that simply cannot be eliminated without jeopardizing the essential qualities of the activity. Without a certain degree of risk, cheerleading students would not improve their skills and the enjoyment of the sport would be diminished. Cheerleading and gymnastics expose participants to the usual risk of cuts and bruises, and other more serious risks as well. Participants often fall, sprain or break wrists, and ankles, and can suffer more serious injuries. Traveling to and from shows, meets and exhibitions raises the possibilities of any manner of transportation accidents. In any event, if you or your child is injured, medical assistance may be required which you must pay for yourself. 2. I expressly agree and promise to accept and assume all of the risks, known and unknown, connected with DAS related activities, including but not limited to performance of stunts and use of trampolines. My participation and that of my child is purely voluntary. No one has forced or coerced me or my child to participate. I elect for myself and my children to participate in such activities in spite of the risks. 3. I hereby voluntarily release, forever discharge, and agree to hold harmless, and indemnify DAS from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions or rights of action, which are related to, arise out of, or are in any way connected with my child s participation in DAS related activities. 4. Should DAS be required to incur attorneys fee and costs to enforce this agreement, I agree to indemnify and reimburse them for such fees and costs. 5. I certify that my child has health, accident, and liability insurance to cover bodily injury or property damage that may be caused or suffered while participation in this event or activity, or else I agree to bear the costs of such injury or damage to my child. I further certify that I am willing to assume and bear the costs of all risks that may arise or be created, directly or indirectly, through or by any such condition. 6. In the event that I file a lawsuit against DAS, I agree to do so solely in the state of Iowa and I further agree that the substantive and procedural laws in that state shall apply in any such action without regard to the conflict of laws rules thereof. I agree that if any portion of this agreement is found void or unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect. 7. By signing this document, I acknowledge that if anyone is hurt or property is damaged during my participation or the participation of any of my children in this activity, I may be found by court of law to have waived my right to main a lawsuit against DAS on the basis of any claim from which I have released SA by signing this Agreement. 8.
