ASSOCIATED ARTS OF OCEAN SHORES ANNUAL General Membership MEETING December 5, 6:00-8:00 PM at the Convention Center. Associated Arts is looking for a few talented and conscientious volunteer board members to lead and strengthen the community organization. At this time, they are especially looking for people with leadership potential, time availability and interest in our program. Associated Arts is governed by a nine member board of directors with responsibilities that include long-term planning and program oversight. The board meets once a month. Application requests can be mailed to PO Box 241, OS. Join us for a great evening of food, wine and Fun!!! Associated Arts of Ocean Shores has been a strong influence in our community since 1974. The goal has always been to promote the arts, whether it be in music, drama, art or poetry. With strong community support and great volunteers, AAOS supports our local schools with yearly grants for art supplies and a scholarship for their students. This year we are proud to announce that our annual Fine Art, Photography and 3D Show will be held in conjunction with the Sand & Sawdust Festival in June. We are excited about our partnership with the North Beach Chamber of Commerce in offering a Fine Arts feature to this Festival. AAOS is also opening the Poster Contest to the public this year and extending the deadline to April 15. This year s theme is SEA LIFE. For more information visit www.associatedarts.org. Volume 2 of ART FROM THE SHORES featuring 19 local artists and 32 pages will be available at the Annual Membership meeting. Artists will be present to autograph the book. It s also a great time to get current on your dues for 2019.

Winter Fanta-Sea, volunteers needed! Coming up next month is the annual Winter Fanta-Sea event at the Ocean Shores Convention Center. AAOS will have a booth there to sell our Posters, Books, etc. Our posters have been selling quite well and so much so at the Arts & Crafts Festival that, at times, it was necessary to have 2 volunteers at the booth. Below are the hours of operation for the 3 day event which is over Thanksgiving weekend. I am hoping to have the booth staffed by 2 volunteers as much as possible. Whatever time you can give for the cause is greatly appreciated. Friday, November 23 rd First Shift: 12:00-2:30 Corrine H. & Joann P. Second Shift: 2:30-5:00 Cheryl S. Display your Artwork At The Grey Gull Resort 651 Ocean Shores Blvd NW, Ocean Shores, WA 98569 (360) 289-3381 http://www.thegreygull.com/resort The Grey Gull Resort has agreed to let AAOS artist members to display their framed art in their reception area. We've gotten many comments and compliments on our showing at the Grey Gull Resort. The present artwork will be displayed until mid April. At that time I'd like to change out to some new pieces. I'm thinking 3 months showing may be a good length of time. So any artists who have things that hang on walls...i'd like to hear from you. The rules are all pieces must be for sale. No pieces are removed without checking with me first...so I can let the Resort know there will be a change in the display. Everyone signs a disclaimer and you must leave contact information for interested parties to be able to buy your work. Also all pieces must be of show ready quality...and with your name and contact on the back. So hope to hear from you guys. artists can change out or add to existing exhibit Thursday November 16. Please contact me for information. Susan LaMadrid 360-581-4785 slamadrid@aol.com Please send me a jpeg of your work and sizes.
