The Program Director also is responsible for the supervision of daily program operations, course access, facility and fiscal management, policy implementation and safety of all programs operated by The First Tee of Augusta. Job Summary (please keep this short Maximum of 6 lines) Preferred Work Experience: Preferred Education Level: Prefer Program Directors/Coaches with First Tee experience. Bachelor's Degree and PGA/LPGA credential preferred RESPONSIBLITIES Programming Actively pursue The First Tee Certified Coach certification Become proficient in the TARGET program and the delivery of Par, Birdie and Eagle modules Develop programs and implement The First Tee curriculum as outlined in The First Tee guidelines Coordinate registration, schedules, transportation and lesson plans and staffing for clinics, workshops, school golf program and programs with other youth services organizations Satisfy equipment needs for the programs Conduct On Course orientations for participants Track participants information and progress Teach The First Tee Life Skills and Golf Experience and administer testing and certification Participate in regular parent meetings and clinics Create and implement off season programs Develop a retention plan to move participants through the certification levels Make the game fun for juniors Make available additional private lessons

Provide a safe environment Maintain the quality of equipment and all instructional areas Provide club fitting and repair services Involve volunteers and golf professionals in The First Tee Coach Program Assist in the development/selection of training aids and materials Recruit and train Golf Professionals to help with instruction Develop a volunteer support system to ensure recognition and longevity Maintain, post and submit accurate records for participants into appropriate databases Provide instruction for School Golf Program Coordinate and teach School Golf Program Schedule and teach outreach Clinics Track and report Outreach activity/participation data Continuous improvement of onsite golf and life skills instruction Ensure staff is actively enrolled in TFT Coaches Certification process Ensure entire TFTA staff is trained and proficient in all programming processes/procedures (ie. Registration, photo ID cards, etc.) Order sufficient programming materials for staff and students Coordinate program registration Maintain/ensure student records are maintained properly by all instructors Generate monthly program status reports Learn and become a proficient user of Pro shopkeeper, TFT Participant database, TFTA website, internal student database. Secure Access Affiliate golf courses that will allow TFTA members to play at discounted rates Establish a process to routinely distribute clubs to members of TFTA Keep TFTA members informed of (National) TFT and other golf and life skills opportunities Lead parent orientation programs Communicate with parents/participants through web site, email, and mail Provide opportunities to engage parent s in their child s learning Provide opportunities for participant family members to learn the game of golf Program Scheduling: Coordinate registration, schedules, transportation and lesson plans for clinics, trainings, and programs with other youth services organizations and schools Make available additional private lessons for participants and family members Create and implement off season and supplemental programs Satisfy equipment needs for the programs Maintain the quality of equipment and all instructional areas Provide club fitting and repair services Assist in the development/selection of training aids and materials Management/ Administration:

Track participants information and progress through The First Tee online participant database; maintain accurate records and submit quarterly Develop retention and progression plan to move participants through the certification levels Develop, implement, and update program policies and procedures Assist in developing and adhering to the Program & Operating budget Report program metrics, operations data, and pertinent program data to the Executive Director and Board Attend meetings and advise Program Committee Provide recognition and awards for participants Encourage Birdie level youth and higher to participate in network benefits and opportunities Schedule and organize TFTA special events for members and guests Post/publish tournament and event results Secure Access Affiliate golf courses that will allow TFTA members to play at discounted rates Establish a process to routinely distribute clubs to members of TFTA Keep TFTA members informed of (National) TFT and other golf and life skills opportunities Publish a monthly/ bi monthly club newsletter to keep parents and students informed of TFTA activities Post TFTA events on TFTA website calendar Coordinate/manage the TFTA Student Achievement Program and sweepstakes Manage the TFTA website and send periodic e newsletters Administrative Document/compile/establish policies and procedures for all programming functions Develop and track Programming budget Conduct performance reviews for program, pro shop and range staff Learn and become a proficient user of TFT Participant Database, Pro Shopkeeper, and internal databases Ensure publication of a monthly/ bi monthly club newsletter to keep parents and students informed of TFTA activities Post TFTA events on TFTA website calendar Manage the TFTA website and send periodic e newsletters Community/ Network Outreach: Represent the Chapter to the community and aid in fundraising, marketing, public relations and communication efforts Participate in golf shows and tournaments Assist in the creation of promotional brochures to increase awareness of the programs and facility Communicate with and submit documentation as required to The First Tee Home Office Network with other Chapter colleagues and exchange best practice ideas Develop partnerships with YMCA, Boys & Girls Clubs and schools Participate in leadership teams for The First Tee National School Program (NSP) Develop transition opportunities for outreach programs including NSP Volunteer Coordination

Demonstrated commitment to the success of urban youth, and students that might not have otherwise been exposed to the game of golf Demonstrated strong work ethic, and an aim toward excellence. Bachelors Degree in the areas of sports administration, education, recreation or related field A minimum of three years experience as a PGA of America or LPGA teaching professional or actively pursuing PGA Class A certification Demonstrate exceptional communication, fiscal management and managerial skills Adhere to the standards of conduct and involvement established by the PGA/LPGA Experience in identifying and managing an instructional staff and volunteers Charismatic, personable, and motivational in working with youth Able to travel to attend Academies, Regional and Annual Meetings and training sessions Communication Skills List Communicaton Skill Requirements Customer Service List Customer Service Skills Required Management Skills List Management Skill Requirements BENEFITS Medical
