REGISTRATIONS CLOSE ON THURSDAY 28 TH SEPTEMBER, 5PM SPBA Summer 2017 season will start on Sunday 8 th October 2017. All divisions will run a three week grading period after that time the results will be reviewed and teams moved between divisions as required. At round 4 all ladders will be reset to zero. (Note: The Association can move teams after round 3 if required to ensure the fairest competitions possible). Team Entry (Independent/Club Teams): Team registrations are to be completed online via Sports TG. Visit http://www.sharksbasketball.com.au/domestic/ for more information. There are two steps to entering online: Step 1. Click on the link to create your team (No payment required). Existing teams you need to enter using your existing team code and password. Step 2. Each player must then register online with their own active email address with the team code received in step one. (Note: there is no more passwords or usernames for player registrations. The system will recognise players by their email. Therefore, team managers should avoid registering their whole team under one email address as this may charge the incorrect amount.) The association will no longer be accepting manual team entries due to Country Basketball Victoria s compulsory online registration process change. Please note: *Team contacts must be 18 years old or older. *The team contact details must be the team s manager (not a club delegate). IMPORTANT: Players must register with their own email address or the email they have used in previous registrations. To change your details, email: bwhite@sharksbasketball.com.au Team registrations close on Thursday 28 th September, 5pm. This is to allow sufficient time for fixture scheduling. Teams registering after fixtures are released will incur a $50.00 re-fixturing fee prior to being added into the competition. Player registrations are due by Friday 6 th October, 5pm. Teams will only be accepted into the competition once we have received full payment for a minimum of five players. A $200 fee will apply to any team that withdraws from the competition after round three of the season.

Fixtures will be made available online approximately one week before the first round. All fixtures are subject to change and we recommend not printing off the website. No player may take the court before Insurance and Registration is paid. There has been a change in the way registration and insurance will be paid due to changes in Basketball Victoria Country (BVC) and Basketball Australia registration structures. Scoring Each team must provide one scorer for all games. Please make sure your scorers on your team have read the Stadium Scoring manual available at www.sharksbasketball.com.au. Finals Eligibilities Eligibility for all finals is 50% of games played for the season. In the situation the number of games in a season is an odd number, the next lowest even number is the number of games considered in finals eligibility. E.g. 17 fixture games for the season, will mean that players must have played at least 8 of 16 games. Byes and forfeits received count as a game played. A team giving a forfeit will not count towards finals eligibilities. Grand Finals: All grand finals will be held on their respective nights they are normally held on. Junior Representative Players: SPBA U12 & U14 Junior Representative players must play in our Domestic Competition. For a fairer and more even competition each junior team is only permitted to have 3 representative players in total, regardless of age and division. Play with a Representative team anytime during the current Championship season (Winter Domestic Season). 2.
