ANNOUNCEMENT: The Richmond Dirt Bike Club Inc, hereafter called the PROMOTER will conduct a Regional Zone 4 hour pony express for Seniors on Sunday 28th June and 1.30 hours for juniors 50cc & 65ccc and 2 hours juniors (Mini lites and Junior lites) on Saturday 27th June at the Lake Fred Tritton. 2. JURISDICTION: 2.1. The abovementioned meeting has been authorised by Motorcycling Queensland who has issued the Motorcycling Australia Permit Number TBA and is open to holders of current Motorcycling Australia Snr National,Jnr National, & one meeting licences. One Meeting licences will be available on the day (note OML only available to juniors if they hold a current JCP log book). SRL will be available to 50cc Demo Class. Competitors must be a member of a North Queensland club. Membership into Richmond Dirt Bike Club will be offered, seniors $30.00 juniors $15.00 & Family $50.00 2.2. The meeting will be held in accordance with the current Manual of Motorcycle Sport General Competition Rules (GCR s), these Supplementary Regulations, and any Final Instructions approved by Motorcycling Queensland BY ENTERING THIS MEETING ALL PARTIES AGREE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES, REGULATIONS, BY-LAWS AND INSTRUCTIONS. 3. ENTRIES: 3.1. Entries open forthwith and close before racing on both days, riders are encouraged to pre nominate there will be a limited number of My Laps Transponders for hire,after this number is reached no more entries will be taken. 3.2. In the case of postponement or abandonment of the meeting, all or any part of the entry fee may be retained by the Richmond Dirt Bike Club Inc, if such retention is approved by Motorcycling Queensland. 3.3. Only entries received on the official Entry Form that is accompanied by the correct fee will be accepted. Due to the new MA Licences additional ID may be required by the club. 3.4. NOTE:-REFUND OF ENTRY FEES FOR ANY RIDER WITHDRAWING FROM THE MEETING IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE RICHMOND DIRT BIKE CLUB. 3.4.1 NO PHONE OR FAX ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED Entries by mail must be sent to. National Personal Accident Scheme provides basic cover for death and permanent disability. 4.2. Ambulance Insurance is compulsory for licensees. All Riders must be QAS subscribers as the club will not accept responsibility for the transport or treatment costs. 4.3. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT COMPETITORS GIVE CONSIDERATION TO TAKING OUT WEEKLY BENEFITS INSURANCE. 5. MEDICAL SERVICES: A Queensland ambulance and officer will be in attendance from the start of racing to the finish of the racing on both days.

6 ENTRY FEE: 6.1. Entries INCLUDING THE CORRECT FEE received before the 22 nd June will be: - Seniors $90.00 per rider, including transponder hire and timing fees. -Juniors $ 60.00 including transponder hire and timing fees 6.2 Entries received after the 22 nd June will be: -Seniors $120.00 per rider, including transponder hire and timing fee -Juniors $ 90.00 including transponder hire and timing fees 6.3 Riders with their own transponder pay $10.00 less 50cc Demo (non competitive) class $25.00 6.3. Payment by cash or cheque only. ANY FEES FOR DISHONOURED CHEQUES WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ENTRANT. 6.4. Cheques and Money Orders are to be made payable to the Richmond Dirt Bike Club Inc. 7 CLASSES OF COMPETITION: 1 OPENS TEAMS (175CC 2 STROKE / 275CC 4 STROKE AND OVER) 2 LITES - TEAMS (100 to 150CC 2 STROKE /150 to 250CC 4 STROKE) 3 VETERANS TEAMS (OVER 35 YEARS OF AGE ALL SIZE BIKES) 4 IRONMAN ALL POWERS 5 JUNIOR LITES 100CC-150CC 2 STROKE/200CC-250 4 STROKE 6 MINI LITES 85CC 2 STROKE/ 150CC 4 STROKE 9TO 16 Years S/W & B/W 7 65CC CLASS (7-12 YEARS) 8 50CC AUTO CLASS (7-8 YEARS) 9 50CC DEMO (4-8YEARS)non competitive event A junior rider s age on January 1 will determine his/ her age for competition that year. However, a rider may move to the next higher class when he/she becomes eligible to do so at any time during the year, but once a rider moves to the higher age class in any competition, he/she may not move back to the lower age class. NOTE: TEAMS CONSIST OF EITHER 2 RIDERS- 1 BIKE OR 2 RIDERS 2 BIKES.TEAM RIDERS MUST CHANGE EVERY LAP AND RIDERS OR BIKES MUST TOUCH DURING CHANGE OVER WITHIN THE DESIGNATED CHANGE OVER AREA. If one team member wishes to pull out due to injury, they are permitted to do so, as long as each member has started one lap of the race, and notify officials of this decision, before restarting the lap. Team riders must not use the ironman lane between laps. 8 AWARDS AND PRIZEMONEY: 8.1 50cc (7-8) Auto, 65cc, mini lites, junior lites, will receive 1 st Trophy $100.00 2 nd Trophy and $75.00 3 rd Trophy and $50.00 8.2 Teams classes; Opens, Lites, Vets 1 st $200.00 and Trophy, 2nd $150.00 and Trophy 3 rd $100.00 and Trophy. 8.3 The iron man class will receive 1st $1000.00 worth of gifts and cash 2 nd $150.00 3 rd $100.00 8.4 To be considered finished and eligible for prizes, the rider must pass the finish line on or after the allocated finish time. 8.5 50cc Demo (non competitive) class will receive participation medals. 9 ENTRIES TO CONSTITUTE A CLASS: 9.1. To constitute a Class, the number of contestants entered and competing in each Class shall Three riders,should there be insufficient entries in any Class of Competition, the decision to run or cancel the Class, or to combine events and re-distribute any awards and / or prize money, will be at the discretion of the Richmond Dirt Bike Club, subject to Motorcycling Queensland approval. 10 RACE FORMAT: Racing for all junior classes, will be on Saturday 27 th June. In the event that any class does not meet the required numbers the next class start time will be brought forward. Senior competitors will race on Sunday 28 th June; it is the responsibility of the rider to be ready for the start of their race. 10.1 STARTS: The race start will be a lemans start with riders lined up behind their bikes with engines turned off. Separate classes in each race will start at two minute intervals depending on numbers final instruction at riders brief. Team classes Rider A begins the race 11 MACHINES AND RIDERS: 12.1. All machines entered must comply with the current GCR s for Pony Express Competition. 12.2. Competitors are not permitted to change motorcycles during the race. However riders competing as a team may share one bike as long as it was nominated and has passed scrutineering and officials have been notified. 12.3 Any Enduro, Motorcross or Trail Motorcycle may be used, registration is unnecessary. 12.4 If a team has two different capacity engines, they will be entered into the larger capacity class. 12.5 Helmets are mandatory and all persons (including officials) using a bike or quad must be wearing a helmet properly secured helmet

12 RIDING NUMBERS: 13.1. Riding numbers will be allocated at nomination by the Richmond Dirt Bike Club. 13.2 Numbers must be displayed on the front and left and right hand side of the bike 13.3 It is the entrant s responsibility to ensure that rider numbers are displayed correctly and easily discernible to scorers for the duration of racing. 14 GRID POSITIONS: The grid positions will be determined on the day of racing and instruction given at riders brief. 15 RIDERS BRIEFING: A Riders Briefing will be held prior to the commencement of racing and ALL Competitors MUST attend the Riders Briefing. Details will be included in Final Instructions. Parent or guardian must be present with all junior competitors. Riders Briefing is a NON Smoking Area. 16 DRUG AND OR ALCOHOL TESTING: 16.1 All competitors and officials are advised that as part of the MA drug education program, drug testing may take place at any competition in accordance with Australian Sports Commission policy as implemented by the Australian Sports Drug Agency. 16.2 If any doubts exist over banned substances it is recommended competitors telephone the Drugs in Sport Hotline 1800 020506. When drug testing takes place, the payment of prize money may be delayed at the Richmond dirt bike clubs discretion until the results of the tests are known. 16.3 For the purpose of drug &alcohol testing, the commencement of the meeting will be deemed 6.00 am on Saturday and Sunday with the completion of the meeting for the participant being when the participant has vacated the venue. 17 CODE OF CONDUCT: All Competitors, Officials and Parents are reminded of the Motorcycling Australia By-Law - CODE OF CONDUCT (as stipulated in the GCRs) which is a guide to appropriate behaviour at all Motorcycle Race Meetings. This CODE OF CONDUCT applies to this Meeting and will be enforced. 18 TIMETABLE: 18.1 Nominations- until 30 minutes before riders brief on both days.early bird nomination for entries received before last post Monday 17 th June. 18.2 Saturday 27 th -Scrutineering and nominations will be open Saturday from 7.00 am 18.3 Junior 50cc (7-9) and 65 will start practice lap at 9 am, racing to begin when the last Sweep rider has cleared the Track. 50cc (4-8) non competitive class will also begin at this time on a separate track. Race time is 90 minutes 18.4 Mini lites and Junior lites will complete their practice lap after all riders from the previous class have finished; racing for this class will begin when the last Sweep rider has cleared the track, race time 2 hours 18.5 In the event that classes on Saturday do not have the required numbers race time will be brought forward 18.6 Sunday 28 th June Nomination and Scrutineering from 6.30 am 18.7 Senior riders Brief 8.00AM Sunday 28 th June 18.8 Senior practice lap will begin after riders brief on Sunday. 18.9 Senior race will start when the last Sweep rider has cleared the Track. Racing will run for 4 hours. In the event of unforseen events Richmond Dirt Bike Club may alter race times. 18.10 The start of the race will not be held up for breakdowns. 19 CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION: Natural bush terrain with sand, dirt & rocks.some water may be present. Natural creek beds. The senior track is approximately 23km in length the junior track approximately 12km in length. Natural wildlife may be present on the track. Track will be marked with arrows and tape. 20 STARTS: The start will be a lemans with the engine dead and riders lined up 30 metres behind their bikes 21 RACING: Only a competitor that has nominated and had their machine passed through scrutineering before start of the practice lap will be eligible to ride in the practice lap. Practice lap is not compulsory and it is the rider s responsibility to be ready for the start of the race. Helping the injured: a competitor who stops and stays with an injured rider will be given their average lap time for that lap. Teams: Both riders in a team must start 1 lap each. If a rider breaks down or is injured his partner may restart that lap. CHECKPOINT: Riders must dismount from bike; through the checkpoint area (Failure to call out number to scorers may result in that lap not being score.) Unless otherwise instructed at riders briefing, THE WINNER OF EACH CLASS WILL BE THE RIDER/S THAT COMPLETES THE MOST AMOUNT OF LAPS IN THE RACING PERIOD, TO BE CONSIDERED FINISHED YOU MUST PASS THE FINISH LINE ON, OR AFTER THE ALLOTTED TIME FOR THE EVENT.

22. SOUND TESTING: Random Sound Testing will be conducted as per current GCRs. All machines must comply with the current MOM s for Sound emissions. Testing may be undertaken at any time throughout the event. Penalties or exclusions may be applied for machines which do not comply. It is suggested that all competitors be prepared to adjust/replace exhausts systems that do not comply. 22. GST: The Goods and Services Tax affects the payment of prize money. If you do not provide an ABN or declare the sport is a hobby, the Promoter must withhold 48.5% of prize money over $50.00 which is otherwise payable to you. Please tick one of the boxes on the entry form and if appropriate provide your ABN to ensure the full amount of prize money is paid to you. 23. One meeting licences: 23.1 Available at sign on NB: All riders are to be a member of a zone club. 23.2 COMPENTENCY TESTS AND CARDS To obtain a OML,you must either hold a MQ competency card or obtain one>to qualify for a competency card, you must either(i)previously held a MA licence(ii) Hold a current road motorcycle licence, (ii)attend an approved motorcycle coaching course,(iv)demonstrated competency at a club day, or pass a competency test at the track. 23.3 FIRST TIME JUNIORS: who wish to take out a competition licence (including an OML) must first undertake a minimum of five hours of motorcycling coaching-which will include a practical riding test/ assessment and a multiple choice theory test. Successful completion of these two tests will form the rider s competency to obtain a juniors competition licence. 23.4 Junior riders must be endorsed for the bike capacity they are riding on. 24. Transponders 24.1 My Laps Electronic timing will be utilised at the event and is compulsory for all competitors. 24.2 It is the competitors responsibility to ensure that the transponder is mounted correctly and securely on their machine to prevent damage from, and or fouling, of other components on their machine. 24.3 It is the competitors (or parents /guardians of junior competitors )responsibility to ensure that the correct transponder is on the correct machine prior to the event. 24.4 Transponders must be picked up and returned to the designated person and the competitor is required to leave their MA licence or Drivers Licence in exchange for a timing transponder. 24.5 When a transponder is transferred to a competitor it then becomes the responsibility of the competitor to pay for any repairs or replacement costs if the transponder becomes damaged or lost in their care. 25. SPECIAL NOTES AND WARNINGS: Neither the Richmond Dirt Bike Club Inc Committee, Motorcycling Queensland or Motorcycling Australia nor the property owners, licensed officials or duly appointed agents, shall be responsible for any damage loss of any competing machine. Any entrant, by entering this event, shall thereby waive any right or an action at law against the club or promoter, motorcycling Queensland, motorcycling Australia or the land owners for any damage / loss sustained by him/her or their representatives or agents with respect this competition or any matter arising there from. This indemnity is issued on the behalf of the host club. Presentations will commence approximately 60 minutes after the last bike is through the checkpoint of last race. 26. FACILITIES ETC. A unisex toilet is available at the venue. Food and drinks will be available on both days. Camping is available at the caravan park. Other accommodation is available in the town Saturday Night there will be hot pots at the venue Sunday Night for anyone still around there will be photos and a meal at the local bowls club. DEFINITIONS In this declaration: a) Claim means and includes any action, suit, proceeding, claim, demand, damage, cost or expense however arising including but not limited to negligence but does not include a claim against a Motorcycling Organisation under any right expressly conferred by its constitution or regulation; b) Indemnitees means and includes the persons, organisations and bodies corporate whose names appear in Schedule 1. c) MA means Motorcycling Australia Limited; d) State Controlling Body (SCB) means a state or territory motorcycling association affiliated as a member of MA; e) Motorcycling Activities means performing or participating in any capacity in any authorised or recognised Motorcycling Organisation event, meeting or activity; f) Motorcycling Organisation means and includes MA, and the MA members (including the SCBs and affiliated clubs) and where the context so permits, their respective directors, officers, members, servants or agents. 3. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS, DANGERS & OBLIGATIONS I ACKNOWLEDGE that: a) motorcycle sport is dangerous and that by engaging in the sport (whether as a competitor, recreational rider, coach, official or media) at the Meeting I take and am exposed to certain risks and dangers and am under certain obligations as follows: i) that I may be injured, physically or mentally, and may be killed; ii) that my machinery or equipment may be damaged, lost or destroyed; iii) that competitors may ride dangerously or with a lack of skill; iv) that track or event conditions may be hazardous and may vary without warning or predictability; v) that organisers, officials, landowners/track operators and any agents or representatives of those in charge of meetings are frequently obliged to make decisions under pressure of time/or events; vi) that any policy of insurance of or in respect of my life or physical or mental health may be voided; vii) that there may be no or inadequate facilities for treatment or transport of me if I am injured; vii) that I have an obligation to myself and to others to act safely and within the rules and regulations of MA; b) the Indemnitees do not make any warranty that the services at the Meeting will be provided with due care and skill or that any materials provided in connection with the services will be fit for the purpose for which they are supplied; c) to the extent that any warranty is implied it is excluded to the full extent permitted by law; d) have voluntarily read and understood this warning and accept and assume the inherent risks in participating in the Event. 4. WARNING UNDER THE FAIR TRADING ACT 1999 (VIC) Under the provisions of the Fair Trading Act 1999 (Vic) several conditions are implied into contracts for the supply of certain goods and services. These conditions mean that the supplier named on this form is required to ensure that the recreational services it supplies to you are: - rendered with due care and skill; - as fit for the purpose for which they are commonly bought as it is reasonable to expect in the circumstances; and - reasonably fit for any particular purpose or might reasonably be expected to achieve any result you have made known to the supplier. Under section 32N of the Fair Trading Act 1999, the supplier is entitled to ask you to agree that these conditions do not apply to you. If you sign this form, you will be agreeing that your rights to sue the supplier under the Fair Trading Act 1999 if you are killed or injured because the services were not rendered with due care and skill or they were not reasonably fit for their purpose, are excluded, restricted or modified in the way set out in this form. NOTE: The change to your rights, as set out in this form, does not apply if your death or injury is due to gross negligence on the supplier's part. "Gross negligence" is defined in the Fair Trading (Recreational Services) Regulations 2004. For the purposes of the clause 3, the Supplier shall mean and include the Indemnitees. 5. INDEMNITY AND RELEASE GIVEN TO ORGANISERS IN CONSIDERATION of the acceptance of me as a participant in the Meeting: a) I AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND KEEP INDEMNIFIED to the full extent permitted by law the Indemnitees and each of them in the following manner: i) that I participate in the meeting at my sole risk and responsibility; ii) that I accept the Venue as it stands with all or any defects hidden or iii) exposed; that I indemnify and hold harmless the Indemnitees, their respective servants, agents, officials and competitors against any actions, costs, losses or claims which may be made by me or on my behalf for or in respect of or arising out of my death or any injury loss or damage caused to me or my equipment whether caused by negligence, breach of contract or in any other manner whatsoever. b) I AGREE TO RELEASE to the full extent permitted by law the Indemnitees and each of them from all liability to me for any claim, loss, damage, cost or expense (whether arising under statute, from negligence, personal injury, psychological trauma, death, property damage or infringement of third party rights or otherwise) that arises as a result of any act, matter or thing done, permitted or omitted to be done by me or which is in any way connected with my presence at or involvement in the Event. c) The release and indemnity provided by me in this declaration is in addition to, and will not in any way limit the application of, the conditions of sale attaching to tickets, conditions of entry, conditions of credentials or any other applicable terms or conditions in respect of the Event. d) A term of this release and indemnity will not apply where the term contravenes the law of the relevant jurisdiction under which any legal action is legitimately taken however such terms are severable and do not invalidate the remaining terms. 6. MEDICAL I declare that I am and must continue to be medically and physically fit and able to participate in the Meeting. I will immediately notify MA in writing via my SCB of any change to my fitness and ability to participate. I understand and accept the Indemnitees will continue to rely upon this declaration as evidence of my fitness and ability to participate. I acknowledge and agree that if required, the Indemnitees (or any of them) may arrange medical or hospital treatment (including ambulance transportation) for me. I authorise such actions being taken by the Indemnitees and agree to meet all costs associated with such action. I understand it is compulsory for me to have ambulance insurance in some form and I accept responsibility for the cost of ambulance transportation, ambulance cover and further agree to maintain ambulance cover during the term of my license / membership. 7. PRIVACY I hereby consent to the collection of my personal information by the Promoter/Event Organiser, MA and the SCB in connection with my involvement at the Event and the use and disclosure of my personal information by Event Organiser, and MA to other agencies and officials associated with the Event for the purposes of conducting and managing the Event. I understand that I may gain access to my personal information held by contacting MA at 147 Montague St, South Melbourne, Victoria, 3205. I understand that if I do not provide the personal information requested above that I may not be permitted to participate in the Event. 8. PERSONAL HEALTH INFORMATION I hereby agree with MA and the SCB that in consideration for my participation in the Event that MA and the SCB may receive, collect, store and use personal health information about me in the manner set out below: a) I ACKNOWLEDGE that: i) If I am injured, become ill or die at or following the Event the party listed at Item 8 in Schedule 1 in addition to any hospital at which I am treated (together my Carers ) will have health related information about me in their possession, power and control relating to me which is subject to obligations imposed by the Privacy Act ( my Information ) and the Privacy Act is intended to protect my personal information; ii) MA and my SCB wish to collect my Information for purposes that include their risk management programs, evaluating and improving the safety of MA and SCB events and of the Meeting organisers and facility providers of MA / SCB permitted events, and generally to reduce the risks to persons engaged in motorcycle sport; and iii) It is reasonable for MA and my SCB to collect, store, use and disclose my Information in accordance with clause 11(a)(i) above and in the manner set out in clause 11(b). b) IN CONSIDERATION of my acceptance as an entrant in the Meeting I consent and agree that MA and my SCB: i) may collect and store any of my Information, including obtain my Information from third parties including my Carers; ii) iii) may use any information collected in accordance with this clause for any purpose consistent with creating safer competition in motorcycle sport and events held by or in conjunction with MA, my SCB, or with an MA or SCB permit; may disclose my Information to third parties provided such disclosure is reasonably intended to be used for the purpose of improving safety at events held by or in conjunction with MA, or with an MA permit provided any such information is held by MA or my SCB in accordance with the MA Privacy Policy. c) I irrevocably authorise MA and my SCB and hereby appoint MA and my SCB as my lawful attorneys to collect from my Carers, and I hereby direct my Carers to provide to MA or my SCB upon request being made by MA or my SCB, any of my Information including but not limited to any information concerning any incident or event causing or contributing to or resulting from any injury, illness or death to me, the details of any diagnosis and prognosis provided to me by my Carers (or any party with the knowledge of any of my Carers), and any other matter to the knowledge of my Carers that might reasonably be considered to be requested by MA or my SCB for the purpose of improving safety at MA and SCB events. 9. POLICIES AND REGULATIONS a) I acknowledge, understand and agree that it is a condition of my participation in the Event that I agree to be bound by, and subject to, the rules, regulations and jurisdiction of MA as amended from time to time. Copies of all MA rules, policies and regulations are available by contacting the MA office. b) All participants are bound by the MA anti doping policy and thus understand they may be subject to drug testing. Testing conducted by the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) is in accordance with the ASADA Act and the National Ant-Doping Scheme. This involves the taking of a sample (any human biological fluid or tissue whether alive or otherwise, or any human breath) for the purpose of detecting the use of a Prohibited Drug or Doping Method. Any participant infringing MA s policy or refusing a drug test may be disqualified or otherwise dealt with in accordance with the terms of the anti-doping policy. 10. RIGHT TO USE IMAGE Right to Use Image: I acknowledge and consent ot Photographs and electronic images (including, but not limited to, moving images) being taken of me during my participation in the Event. I acknowledge and agree that such photographs and electronic images are owned by (organisation) and it may use the photographs and electronic images for promotional or other purposes without my further consent being necessary. Further, I consent to (organisation) using my name, image, likeness and also my performance in the Event at any time, by any form of media, to promote (organisation) or the Event.
