Officials Secretary Contact Information English Lacrosse has three league secretaries to provide assistance to universities for independent officials for BUCS league matches. There is a small network of officials that are available on Wednesday afternoons, however English Lacrosse recommends that university lacrosse clubs qualify student officials to ensure they meets requirements for BUCS matches. Please give at least a week s notice to the secretaries as they will not be able to provide any assistance to universities who contact them on Mondays or Tuesdays. Women s University Liaison Dorothy Hirsch- dacervo@gmail.com Men s Referee Secretaries South (South of Birmingham), Steve Jarvis- semla_refs_sec@btinternet.com North (North of Birmingham), Tony Pugh- tonypugh@central-distribution.co.uk Centurion Trophy The Centurions Lacrosse Club, a retired players club and supporter of university lacrosse, are seeking interest from universities who would like to participate in a new competition. The concept has been developed to provide additional fixtures to extend the playing programme for teams who are knocked out of the BUCS Championship & Trophy at an early stage. The Centurions would administer the competition. The competition will follow the same BUCS eligibility, rules and regulations. Home teams will also provide venues and officials. The structure of the competition would depend on the level of interest but is intended to be structured regionally with semi-finals and finals on the same day at the end of the tournament. Interested universities should register their interest with Centurion s secretary, Rob Collinge, on robcollinge@tiscali.co.uk. This will allow Centurions to put the structures in place for the fixtures programme to be in place for February.
