20th Anniversary 2018, est.1998 Minutes of the meeting for Tuesday, April 03, 2018 The meeting convened at Sinclair's East in Montgomery. Jo Alexander, President/Board Member, called the meeting to order at 7:00PM with 50 in attendance. SECRETARY S REPORT: Michael Thrash, Secretary/Board Member, stated that the minutes of the March 07, 2018, meeting were completed. Michael emailed a copy of the minutes in pdf format to all members, and made available a printed copy at the meeting for review. A motion was made and passed to accept the minutes as they were distributed. TREASURER S REPORT: Vickie Lavender, Treasurer/Board Member, reported we started the month with $6237.44 in checking, she deposited $506.00, and we had expenses of $446.31. We now have $6297.13 in checking and with savings of $2499.26, leaves us with a total of $8796.39. The larger $250 expense was for our club insurance. MEMBERSHIP REPORT: Pam Smith, Membership Chair, stated that as of March 31, 2018, we have 73 family members including 1 that joined and 6 that renewed in the month of March. Birthdays for the month of April are: Ed Cole 05, Carolyn Middleton 09, Barbara Kelly 13, Tim Muttersbaugh 14, Dean Baskett 28, Dor DeLong 29, & Irma Street 30! Some of our club members met Ryan and his parents Carl & Mary Jo at the Gunter Veterans Car Show. Member s New Cars: No one purchased a new Corvette this month SAAAAY WHAAAT! MOTOR SPORTS REPORT: Mark Reese, Motor Sports Chair, reported: *Mark and Brian went to Road Atlanta; they had a blast! He stated the updated Sassy was beyond his wildest dreams! He also said that Sassy now giggles at him come on guy thats all you got. *We had our first day at the Drag Strip, although no contest yet, just for fun. Mark said after going to the strip, we now have two new classes. One being the Old Man Old Car class named for Wade. Wade stated and I am winning! The second new class is The Spouse Wars named for Pam & Norval! Lots of laughter and applause after Mark named the two new classes. Pam started singing a song I was the champion my friend! *Roebling Road Raceway is scheduled for Friday, May 04, 2018. We did have a cancellation so we do have an opening for the track. Hotel rooms need to be booked by tomorrow morning, 04-04-2018. Notes/Reminders: *Mark previously mentioned the club having an Autocross day. Autocross is running one car at a time around cones set up on a very small course. TOURING ACTIVITIES REPORT: Bob Whetstone, Touring Activities Chair: *Eufaula Pilgrimage Car Show has been canceled *MAFB Centennial Celebration, Riverfront Park, April 07, 1:30pm until 5pm, meeting at the Dalraida Publix, leaving for downtown at 12:30pm *Tail of The Dragon & Hendrick Museum, September 09 thru September 12, We need the money for the Hendrick Museum ($25 per person) no later than the September 07 meeting. Need to make hotel reservations before the deadlines. NCM AMBASSADOR REPORT: Brian Newton, NCM Ambassador Representative Reported: *Brian stated, If you really want to know the history about the Corvette, there is a museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. It is called the National Corvette Museum and they have a lot of paperwork to tell you all about it. *NCM BASH, Brain said that maybe they would have the Mid Engine Corvette at the BASH.Probably NOT. The Bash is this month and Brian asked if anyone was planning on attending. Jimmie & Carolyn Middleton stated they are going to be there! If you go you will get to learn about the new model year changes and new colors. *Brian stated there are many ways you can help the NCM. You can buy bricks with engraving, volunteer at the BASH, or donate your car like Wade Turner is doing with his Corvette. Also, if you purchase a NCM Lifetime Membership you get free admission to hundreds of other museums. *The NCM is the number one attraction in Kentucky for this year, so please continue to support them anyway you can. *In 2019 the NCM 25th Anniversary Celebration will take place. Brian really hopes we can get around 40 cars together from our club to participate in the caravan. Note: After Brian was done speaking.somebody asked Brian a question, then someone else asked one, then someone else asked one, and believe it or not, someone else asked Brian a question. WEBSITE REPORT: Roger Lavender, Webmaster Representative, reported: Roger stated that if you have not been to the website lately you really need to take a look. It has really been reworked, everything has been updated or changed completely. We added some new software to allow Averil to add pictures to the website in a photo gallery. As of a few minutes ago, for the last thir days, we have had 1266 views for the site. We are getting hits to our site from all over the world. Jo mentioned the hard work Roger puts in for our website; everyone applauded and thanked Roger. BUSINESS: *Jo stated that our NCM Banner needs updating so it can be changed out. Dick Frederick designed the current banner and it looks great. We have to have the design in no later than May 01, 2018. The banner will cost $425 this year; we have had a banner every year the club has existed. Jo called for a vote to again have a banner at the NCM and it was approved. Having an auction for the retired NCM banners was mentioned again, this time by Dari. *We also need to update/redesign our CCCC logo; currently we have four (shirt, banner, directory, & car decal) different designs. Jo called for a vote to update our logo, it was approved. *20th Anniversary Par, Redland Road Fire Station #2, Saturday, 4pm-7pm on August 11, 2018, It will be picnic sle, with hamburgers, hotdogs, baked beans, cole slaw, etc.; Jo has asked a few people to get quotes for the catering. *Care Purses & Back Pack Donations, continuing effort. Jo encouraged everyone to continue their support. Janet was absent from the meeting; Jo mentioned what a great job Janet and everyone else is doing with the donations. Mark let everyone know that the individuals/families that the items are donated to really appreciate it. Jimmie suggested that we pass the hat around for cash donations to the chari, it has been awhile since the last time. Jo called for a vote and it was passed. We raised $214. *4th Annual Cinco de Mayo Car Show, Selma, AL; Saturday, April 14, 10-3pm; Jo placed flyers at each table for anyone that is going somewhere that they could pass some out. Larry Ramsey also mentioned they would be bringing 10 to 15 cars down from Birmingham for this event. 4 of 6

This time we would arrange the Corvettes to reference the twentieth anniversary. Jo stated that we will celebrate everyday of 2018 for our twentieth anniversary. We are going to figure out some things to do and ways to celebrate.
