Sad news over the past couple of weeks. We lost 2 ICONS of Hot Rodding. First Boyd Coddington passed away, and then word came that John LiL John Buttera died also. BIG loss for Hot Rodding PERIOD. News reports say Boyd died from liver failure and Lil John died from complications of a tumor from Brain cancer. I already sent out info to all you Gearheads, on both of these guys and some of their history. They will always be known as the fathers of the billet wheel. They created and built the first sets ever. Don t forget March 7-9 th, the HUNTERS Custom Car Show being held at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds. In talking to John Richardson, Show Co-Chairman, they will have over 200 rides on display along with some surprises. Get up off your butt s and go check things out. Lot of pictures being added. and got a cool jacket and some $$$ to spend too. Congrats Dick!!! NSRA has announced that the Nationals will continue to be held in Louisville Ky through 2020. WOW!!! In Fact you can check out the killer Vette that Dale Johnson owns in the COOL HAPPENINGS IN YOUR GARAGE section. This cool ride was shown in Chicago this year at the ISCA World of Wheels show and won its class and best original / restored in the show!! Dale has also showed the car in Louisville Ky at the BIG Carl Casper show. The car won 8 major awards. Dale has George Ross, who restored the car, along for the ride to all these shows too. We heard George had to ride in the trailer as his head has swollen up so much, that is the only place he fits. The guys are headed to Detroit to show the car at the 56 th DETROIT AUTORAMA.
