INFORMATIONAL DANCE PACKET that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. I Peter 4:11 THE CORNERSTONE CHURCH 4905 EAST LA PALMA ANAHEIM, CA 92807 WWW.MYCORNERSTONECONNECTION.COM

CAPA is a ministry of Cornerstone Church, Anaheim California. OUR MISSION To bring glory to the Lord and minister to others through the use of pure-hearted, Godinspired dancers who are well rounded in technique and artistry. We are dedicated to discovery, training and releasing gifts and talents to bring glory to God in and through worship. Thank you for your interest in CAPA Dance Program. We believe God has opened up the doors for this ministry. As a community of followers of Christ at The Cornerstone, we believe that we are created to bring God glory with our gifts and talents. This ministry dream for all of our teachers began to take shape about 3 years ago. Over a period of two to three weeks, one by one, the dancers and dance instructors in our church began connecting with me and than together, to begin praying and discussing these dreams. What I have discovered while getting to know these wonderful young people is that they are skilled and trained instructors who are passionate about dance and about worshiping God. What a great combination! My heart for worshipping God has been a life-long passion. As a songwriter, musician, worship leader and pastor s wife, I revel at the opportunity to see the arts released. I look forward to what God has in store for this ministry and those who are involved. Worshiping Together, Carol Danna Carol Danna Worship Ministry The Cornerstone Church www.cornerstonechurchanaheim.com

INSTRUCTORS THERESA SAHYOUN Theresa started dancing at the age of 3. As a young girl, she danced all throughout elementary school and performed in various dance recitals. When she was 12 years old she began ballet training with Lisa Murray. Theresa continued her education at Catch the Vision Performing Arts studio in La Habra, California, where she later taught for 13 years. In 2003, Theresa became the Elementary Director of Dance for Catch the Vision where she greatly enjoyed teaching and directing dance performances. Theresa became the co-owner of CTV Kid Dance in 2006. She managed a team of dance instructors that taught at pre-schools and elementary schools. Theresa loves the art of dance but her greatest love is for the Lord Jesus. It is her desire to use the gifting and passion that the Lord has given her for His glory. She loves to worship the Lord through her dance and desires to help others mature in their dancing as well. MINDY OLSON Mindy Christine Olson has been dancing for 21 years. She began her training with Lois Ellyn of the New York City Ballet, and went on to graduate from the OCHSA Classical Contemporary Dance Department under the direction of Sophie Monat. She attended summer intensives at San Francisco Ballet, Ballet Pacifica and Ballet Austin and has trained under Luis Fuente, Janek Schergen, David Wilcox, and Michelle Martin. She has performed in The Glory of Christmas at The Crystal Cathedral and danced with the Los Angeles Classical Ballet, The Joffrey Ballet, and Nouveau Chamber Ballet. In recent years, Mindy has discovered a passion to not only be on the stage, but behind the scenes teaching, directing and choreographing. The Cornerstone has offered her the opportunity to dance and choreograph for many events in their Dance Company; and she has found that her joy is made complete in using her passion for dance as an offering of worship to her Savior.

EMILY LUTHER Emily began dancing at the age of 3 and trained as child at the Hirschl School of Dance Arts. She began teaching there at the age of 13, and was also given the opportunity to choreograph for the annual performances. In high school Emily turned her focus to ballet and began training at Long Beach Ballet Arts Center under David Wilcox, Shani Englert, DaVinci Burke, and Victor Kasatsky. She also participated in many summer intensive programs including LA Classical Ballet and American Reparatory Ballet in Princeton, New Jersey with guest instructors such as Gelsey Kirkland, Patricia Barker, Russell & Maricar Capps, and Edward Villella. She has been a company member of Long Beach Ballet Theater and is currently a company member in His Grace Dance Ministries. Emily s passion is dancing to glorify God, and she loves teaching our youth that dance was created by God for God. DEBORAH LOO Deborah Loo received her ballet training under the instruction of David Wilcox and Shani Englert at Long Beach Ballet Arts Center. Deborah enjoys using dance to worship the Lord, and is blessed to be able to do so through being a company member of His Grace Dance Ministry. In 2008 and 2009, she attended Ballet Magnificat s summer intensive in Jackson, Mississippi. While loving to teach ballet, Deborah also loves to continue her training and is currently dancing at Maple Conservatory of Dance. It is her prayer that her students would not only develop a passion for this beautiful form of art, but would also develop a passion for using dance to magnify the Lord.

SARA THRESHER Sara Thresher began her dance training at the age of 4 and has been dancing for over 21 years. She trained as a child in London s Royal Academy of Dance Technique and received a scholarship for her efforts training under John Hart. She moved to Orange County in 2004 to continue her training at California State University Fullerton and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance. Sara s dance Kairos was selected to perform in the Gala for American College Dance Festival. Her specialty is modern and contemporary dance, but she has a passion for all forms of dance. Her greatest desire is to develop the Christian dance community by advancing the technique, artistry and choreographic ability of those who seek to use their gifts to glorify God alone. Her dream is to have a Christian company that impacts the entire dance community for the Lord.
