I. League Description Adult Co-Ed Soccer Rules This league is a co-ed recreational adult league designed for teams with an interest in enjoying fun competition. II. Fee 1. Totals fee paid by each team will be $600.00 and will include a Forks Adult League T- Shirt. This is a general t-shirt and does not count as uniform. The season will consist of 8 games. Team with the best record at the end of the 8 game season will become the champions of the league for that designated year. 2. Referees will be paid a total of $40 each game, which will be split between both teams and is not included in the $600 registration fee. 3. Teams will be responsible for providing their own uniforms. Teams will be given a color and are required to wear that color to all games. Team names must be approved by Forks Park and Recreation. III. Player Eligibility / Age Rules 1. All participants must be 30 years of age or older by September 1 st to participate. 2. All participants must completely read and agree to the Forks Township Parks and Recreation participation waiver before playing. 3. All players must have a picture ID with them at games. 4. A picture ID must be presented to a referee/ umpire if a player s eligibility is questioned. Failure to do so will result in the player not being allowed to participate in that game. An eligibility check may be requested at any time prior to the end of the game. However, we encourage teams to make eligibility checks prior to the start of the game if an ineligible player is suspected. If a player is determined to be ineligible, they will not be allowed to play in that game. IV. Teams / Rosters 1. All rosters need to be submitted to the Fork Township Recreation Manager by the date determined by Forks Township Parks and Recreation. 2. Teams may have up to 14 players on their roster. 3. Women are allowed to play in this league, but it is not a requirement to have women players on your roster. 4. All rosters are final once the first game of the league is played. 5. All questions or concerns about player eligibility must be made to the Forks Township Recreation Manager. V. Schedules
1. Game schedule will be created and maintained by Forks Township Parks and Recreation. 2. Games will take place Monday and Wednesday evenings starting at 7:30pm or 8:45pm. 3. Games will take place on field 8 and 9 at Forks Community Park. 4. In the event that a team chooses to forfeit, they will be responsible for the umpire fee unless the Recreation Manager is notified 48 hours prior to game night. Forfeits must be sent to the Recreation Manager by email 48 hours prior to game night. 5. Game changes and cancellations will be communicated to participating team captains and they are responsible for relaying the schedule change to their respective teams. VI. Game format 1. 7 v 7 format 2. Games will consist of two 25 minutes halves with a 5 minute intermission. 3. Teams must have at least five (5) players to begin the match. The clock begins when the referee signals the start of the match; teams with fewer than five players have a 15-minute grace period before the match is forfeited. Forfeited matches result in a 3-0 score. VII. Playing Rules 1. All play will be governed by FIFA Laws of the Game with the following modifications: A. No slide tackles at any point. B. Goalies are not allowed to punt or drop kick the ball. C. Ball must be touch by at least one field player prior to crossing half field. 2. Teams are permitted an unlimited number of substitutions. Substitutions may be made by either team at any stoppage. VIII. Equipment 1. Games will be played with a size 5 ball that will be approved by the referee. IX. Referees 1. Referees will be assigned and provided by Forks Township Parks and Recreation. All rulings made by the referees in regards to game play will be final. Any disputes or questions regarding decisions of the umpire should be directed to the Recreation Manager by email, no earlier than 24 hours after the commencement of the game.
2. If an assigned referee is not available due to unexpected circumstances, the game may be played as an unofficiated game providing both captains agree. Please show good sportsmanship and integrity at all times. 3. Game results will be provided to Forks Township Parks and Recreation by the winning team s captain. X. Standings/Tournament/Playoffs 1. League standings shall be determined by the following: A. Win/loss record B. Tie Breaker 1 Amount of points earned 2. Points will be determined by the winning teams score subtracted by the losing teams score. Teams can earn a maximum of 4 points per game. For example, if a game ends with the score 6 to 1 the winning team will get 4 points. If a game ends with a score of 3 to 2 the winning team will earn 1 point. XI. Player Conduct / Sportsmanship 1. Any team exhibiting unsportsmanlike acts towards members of another team, any umpire, or any Park representative, risks forfeiture of their game. Forks Township Parks and Recreation reserves the right to forfeit any game following complaints by the referee, Forks Township Parks and Recreation, or other team captains. Any team which we feel does not display the high degree of sportsmanship we expect in our leagues will no longer be allowed to play in our program. 2. Any conduct determined to be unsportsmanlike or unruly by either the referee or Forks Township Parks and Recreation will result in one warning. 3. The second instance of misconduct shall result in an ejection. 4. Any player ejected from a game for any reason may not participate in that team s next scheduled game. If the reason for ejection is severe, the Forks Township Parks and Recreation reserves the right to extend the suspension. XII. Participation Waiver Waiver: In consideration of my [and/or my child(s)] participation in this activity, I hereby release and discharge Forks Township, and its representatives, successors, and assigns, from any and all liability arising from accident, injury, and illness that I (he/she) may suffer as a result of my (our) participation in this activity. I (we) also will follow the rules and regulations set by Forks Township and above named parties. Parent or guardian must sign for anyone age 18 and under. Forks Township Parks and Recreation reserves the right to cancel any program or activity due to insufficient registrations. A full refund will be issued. Inclement weather may prompt cancellations. Sessions are made up at another date if possible. Cancellations before the close of business on the printed registration deadline date will be refunded at one-hundred (100) percent minus a $10 administration fee, with the exception of bus trips which are
non-refundable. Cancellation or transfer after the printed deadline is handled on a case-by-case basis. Refunds are not possible once Forks Township has paid instructors. I do hereby grant and give these groups the right to use my or my child(s) photograph or image with or without my or my child's name, both singly and in conjunction with other persons or objects and presentations, advertising, publicity, and promotion relating thereto.
