Check-in procedures Athletes Lounge Bike check: Handlebars, Frames, Wheels (non authorized UCI wheels rule), saddle position Bike Mechanic in Athletes Lounge Body marking check (both arms and legs) Timing chip distribution (1 for the left ankle) Swim cap distribution Leave bags in athletes lounge

Check-in procedures Athletes Lounge Uniform & race gear check (name, country, logos, ITU logo, zippers) Photographs will be taken of each uniform. Wearing other uniform during the race = DSQ Uniforms have to comply with the ITU Uniform Rules, with ITU logo, family name, country code, and respect on the sponsors logo sizes and location. Check-in procedures Transition Area Helmet check- Don t leave your helmet fastened in the transition The athlete who misses to comply with this rule will receive a time penalty of 10 seconds in the run penalty box. Running Shoes (equipment) outside the box, helmet on the bike Spare wheels collected at TA & returned to athletes lounge (tag the wheels by athlete number or team!) To add any equipment to the bike, you must have obtained approval from the Technical Delegate up until 10 minutes after the end of the Athletes Briefing

The Course for the Semi Final

The Course for the Semi Final Swim 750m 3 laps of 250m Bike 20 km 2 laps of 10 km ( Flat Good Surface) Run 5 km 3 laps of 1.66 km ( Flat 2 AID Stations/Lap)

Pre-start Procedure Athlete Introduction: 5 minutes before start: line-up in the Call Room ITU Swim Caps must be worn during Line Up Jog to the pontoon when you are introduced Select your position and stay behind the line! Athlete blocking more than one place will result in DSQ

Start Procedure Athletes in position: The start can be given any time after the referee announces On your mark Electronic horn blast The race starts Athletes not moving forward at the start will receive a time penalty of 10 seconds in TA1.

False Start Procedures False start Example : Several horn blasts Kayaks in front of you Everyone goes back to her/his spot Valid start but with early starters: If someone starts before the horn and everyone else starts with the horn, the false starter will receive a time penalty of 10 seconds in TA1. During the time penalty, athlete cannot touch any of their equipment!

Swim course Water temperature: 26.5 C (Today at 12:15) Non Wetsuit Swim (Wetsuit not allowed) 3 laps (total distance of 750m); anti-clockwise Distance to the first turn buoy = 102m. Keep all the buoys on your left shoulder Swim behavior will be closely monitored inc. video Take cap and goggles to transition into your box For swim warm up, walk down steps and dive into water from buoys. Do not walk in warm up area.

Run Penalty Box Rule The penalty box is for infringements in: Swim, TA1, Bike and TA2 e..x.: Mount before mount line, dismount after dismount line, discharge or store your equipment outside your designated area, rack the bike outside your own space etc (Transition and swim behaviour will be videotaped for infringements) Location: 150m before the Transition Area Information: White board to show race numbers (Athletes need to read the board coaches are advised to check and inform their athletes) Procedure: 10 second time penalty served on any lap of the run If you don t stop = DSQ

Qualification for the Final Elite Women Top 14 from each Semi Final will qualify for the Final The fastest 2 non qualifiers will also qualify for the Final Rule: Athletes from different heats with the same time (in seconds), which are tied in the last qualifying position, will qualify for the final, increasing the number of athletes in the Final. Bring Accreditation when registering for final. In case of athletes withdrawing from the final, replacement will be made by the first athlete who has not qualified. The replacement will happen if the number of athletes in the final drops down to below 30 athletes. (a random selection will be made from those athletes who have the same time). The deadline for the replacements will be at 20:30 on Saturday 22 July

Run Penalty Box Rule interpretation Mount after the mount line: It has to be one contact of the athletes foot with the floor after the mount line. If this contact doesn t occur the action is considered as mount the bike before the mount line. Dismount before the dismount line: It has to be one contact of the athlete foot with the floor before the dismount line. If this contact doesn t occur the action is considered as dismount the bike before the dismount line. Discharge or store your equipment inside your designated area: Leaving the equipment s(swim cap, goggles, helmet, etc.) in the designated box. Rack the bike inside your own space: In case of Individual bike race, the bike can be racked with either wheel to the designated rack.

Ambush Marketing Rules Ambush marketing is defined as: Deliberately using the opportunity of live television and media photographers to acquire additional exposure for your sponsor product, apparel or brand.

Post Race Procedures Anti-Doping Control Photo ID is needed for every athlete to have ready for Doping Control Location Room 402, Phoenix Hotel Medical Only team medical officials area allowed in this area in case there is an athlete from their team. Every NF can have 1 team medical upgrade pass, but only for team doctors!

Coaches Areas Accreditation Every coach has to collect accredition to be able to enter the venue. Only Coaches who have been registered from their NF into the ITU online system are entitled for an accreditation. There is no dedicated coach area for this event We must have a contact telephone number NO Access for coaches into recovery area or medical area
