2017 12u Zumbro Valley League Tournament Saturday, July 22nd, 2017 (Rain date July 23) Location: Bluff View Elementary baseball fields; corner of Cross Street & Lakewood Ave in Lake City, Minnesota. Entry Fee $150 per team with 3 games guaranteed. Each team to supply 3 game balls for tournament use. Make Checks payable to L.C.Y.B.A. or pay online at lakecitybaseball.com Rules for the 12U Tourney Eligible Players Those age 12 on or before May 1, 2017 or kids who completed Grade 6 in the spring of 2017. Players must have been on teams 2017 ZVBL League roster Baserunning No metal cleats allowed Base runners must slide on all close plays. Base runners may steal all bases including home (including passed balls). Base runners may lead off. Batting Batter may advance to first on a dropped/missed third strike only if 1st base is unoccupied. USSSA or BBCOR approved bats with a diameter of 2 ¼ (No differential limit) USSSA or BBCOR approved bats with a diameter of 2 5/8 or 2 3/4 (-10 differential or less). Catcher interference will be called and batter will be awarded first base. Pitching Pitching cards will be kept by both teams. Home team will have official card signed by both coaches and brought to crows nest after each game. Limit of 7 innings pitched in the tournament. (one pitch equals one inning) Limit of 4 innings pitched per individual game. (one pitch equals one inning) Balks will be called - a pitcher will receive 1 warning prior to enforcement. Game A coin flip will determine home team. The time shall be (75 minutes). Once this time limit has expired, no new innings will be started. If tied after time or inning limit, all new innings start with last out on 2nd base until tie is broken. The 15 runs after 3 innings, 10 after 4 mercy rule will be in effect for all games Field Base length will be approximately 75 feet. Pitching mound will approximately 52 feet. No infield will be permitted on the game fields; you may use outfield areas for warm up. Please have your team ready ahead of schedule. Team Must play 9 players in the field. Must bat a minimum of 12 players if you have over 12 players, but can bat all if coach chooses coaches exchange batting lineups prior to the game. There will be open substitution on defense, Starters may re-enter the batting order after being removed from the game and MUST re-enter in the same line-up position.. You may use a courtesy runner for your catcher by using the last player made an out. Weather We reserve the right to alter the tournament format due to inclement weather. Awards Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Players. Concessions There will be a full concession stand. Brackets Brackets will be available as soon as final seeds are available from the league.
