The following events will be held: Mens Singles, Mens Doubles, Women Singles, Women Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Men s Doubles 40+. A new Online entry procedure has been introduced by Maharashtra Badminton Association which has been explained at the end of this circular/entry form. All district secretaries, players, parents and coaches are requested to go through the same and send their entries for individual events accordingly. The Last date of receipt of entries is 24 th August 2016 upto 6:00 PM Draws for the tournament will take place on 26 th August 2016 and the Draws and Fixtures for the tournament will be displayed at the venue as well as on the Maharashtra Badminton Association s Website at : http://www.mbasso.in on 28 th August 2016. (A) ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT RULES, REGULATIONS & GENERAL INFORMATION 1. Tournament is open to all amateur players from Maharashtra State only. 2. The tournament will commence from Wednesday, 31 st August 2016 & will conclude on Saturday, 3 rd September 2016 at Goregaon Sports Club, Goregaon. 3. Play is scheduled to commence at 8.00 AM till 10 PM everyday subject to Load Shedding & other changes without prior intimation. 4. This tournament will be conducted as per the rules & regulations for tournaments as laid down by the BWF and BAI. The decision of the tournament committee will be final and binding on all players. (B) HOW TO SEND THE ENTRIES 1. A new online entry procedure has been introduced for players, parents, officials, coaches and district secretaries for sending their entries online. The said procedure sending online entries is mentioned on the last page of this entry form for all concerned. 2. Entries must be sent online upto 26 th August 2016. Players will not be able to give entries after the deadline of 26 th August 2016 is over. Demand Drafts for entry fees should be made payable to Goregaon Sports Club. on any bank payable at Mumbai. 3. The tournament committee reserves the right of refusing any entry without assigning any reason. C) ABOUT THE DRAWS : 1. List of entries received shall be displayed on Maharashtra Badminton Association website at www.mbasso.in from 21 st August to 24 th August 2016. Draws & fixtures using Tournament Software and as per the revised regulations of B.W.F. will be put up on the notice board as well as displayed on Maharashtra Badminton Association website on 28 th August 2016 and also at the venue of the Tournament at Goregaon. (D)HOW THE TOURNAMENT IS GOING TO BE CONDUCTED: 1. Line Judges may not be appointed for the matches till Quarter-finals. Players will have to work as line judges whenever called for by the Tournament Officials. 2. Each Competitor must report to the Hon. Referee on his arrival at the venue of the tournament. Player failing to report on the court when called by the Hon. Referee, will be liable to be scratched. 3. Clothing during play must be as per the new regulations issued by B.A.I. Advertising on the clothing is allowed as per B.W.F. rules. 4. Yonex brand shuttlecocks, approved by MBA will be provided. 5. Players must not leave the tournament hall without checking the fixtures of their next match, put on the notice board. A chart displaying match numbers only will be displayed on the board as daily fixtures. In case of any doubts / difficulties, do not hesitate to contact Hon. Referee. Subsequent complaints will not be entertained. 6. A list of Hotels & its tariffs is enclosed herewith. Players, Managers, Coaches etc. may directly contact these hotels for their own bookings. 7. Invited players shall be provided facilities as per MBA regulations.
NEW ONLINE ENTRY PROCEDURE This new procedure is convenient and will provide a lot of flexibility to the players in sending their entries for various District, State, All India and International tournaments after approvals from district associations and MBA. This new process shall be applicable from 1st July 2016 and all future tournament entries will be accepted via MBA website after proper approval of District Association. The original procedure shall remain the same, i.e. the entries will have to be approved by District secretaries (or their nominated representative) for all State, All India and international tournaments. Change is in the way the entries are sent. Players will now be able to book their entries directly on the MBA website by logging in using their own registered Email ID and password. To make it easy for players and District Associations, FAQ s / process documentation is uploaded on the MBA website. Registration, Login, tournament entry and tournament withdrawal all activities will be described in detail in these documents. Eventually, a District home page will also be provided to all districts where they can display their own photos, contact information, Associations details, sponsor s advertisement etc. Through this upgraded website districts can collect entries for their own district tournaments in the same manner. If any district association feels that they need a training / hands workshop for them to understand new system in detail, it can be arranged and associations will have to make arrangements of travel, lodging and boarding for the person conducting such sessions. During such training District representatives will also be told about the approval procedure and other important features. We request all district associations to organize and keep following information ready. The same can be emailed to nchafekar@gmail.com for verification. 1. Person who will be in charge of approving entries of district players. Email id and contact number of that individual. 2. Email id and contact information of District Secretary. 3. Email id and contact information of District President. 4. List of Clubs in the District to which players belong. This information will be useful for districts when they use this module for their own district tournaments (for club wise separation during draws). 5. Inform all associated players that a. They should have a valid unique Email ID which will be used for logging in and booking entry. Two players cannot use same Email ID, not even siblings. This is a must at the time of registration. b. A digital picture for uploading to his own profile on website. This can be uploaded later and not a must at the time of registration. c. A digital copy of player s proof of birth document.
