Jacksonville members meet at McMillens at 3:00 for a 3:15 departure The June meeting of the SENCMC was called to order at Madison s in Snead s Ferry by Vice-President Greg Griffith. He welcomed our visitor, Mike Daniele. We also had two special family members present, Gloria and Terry s daughter Alysun Thompson and Barry Stull s son Evan were with us for this meeting. Jessie blessed the food, and asked for God s blessings for Kurt Miller and his family in the recent death of his mother Patricia Miller. We proceeded to the buffet and enjoyed a delicious meal. We had a number of birthdays to celebrate, Pat Piekut, Cara Morrell, Jackie Kenan, and Karen Clarke all are celebrating their 39 th birthdays in June. We also have one couple John and Marlene Butler who both have June 8 th birthdays and they are both 29 this year. We also had several anniversaries to celebrate. Lee and Lynda Danley, 24 years, Judy and Glenn Thomas 44 years, and Emily and Greg Griffith 40 years. Kari-Anne Alexander and Evan Smith were married on June 8 so our congratulations go out to them as well. Inside this issue: June minutes continued Historic Route 66 Spotlight Member Happenings Member Happenings Upcoming Events 5 2 2 3 4 Upcoming events that were discussed were the Blueberry Festival in Burgaw on June 16. Mustang Week in Myrtle Beach in July, Made in the Shade in Elizabethtown in August, and the Shrimp Festival in Sneads Ferry in August. If you are interested in attending the Mustang 50 th anniversary events in Charlotte please go to the website and register your car for parking and obtain a room reservation. The hotels close to the event are filling up quickly. There is also a track event on Thursday, Friday and Saturday this costs $250 per day. Information is available on the website as well. They only take payment by pay pal.

JUNE MINUTES CONTINUED Page 2 Our July meeting will be held at Madison s on July 14. The Wilmington group will meet at CostCo at 2:45 for a 3:00PM departure and the Jacksonville group will meet at 3:15 for a 3:30 departure from McMillens. Our August meeting will be dinner, a tour, and wine tasting at the Duplin Winery. Details on this fun event will be coming soon. Our treasurer reports that we have $1,868 dollars in our account. A motion was made to accept the minutes of the May meeting as printed in the May 27 th newsletter. The winner of the 50/50 was Greg Griffith, Greg brought home $38. The meeting was adjourned. SPOTLIGHT ON HISTORIC ROUTE 66 The winner of our June 50/50 drawing was Greg Griffith. Greg and Emily were the member spotlight earlier this year and wanted to share some of the pictures they took on a portion of Historic Route 66 in Pulaski County MO.
