THE AMERICAN SYSTEM OF CONSERVATION FUNDING: CELEBRATING 75 YEARS OF SUCCESS, AND ENSURING ITS FUTURE. 9 th Annual Sportsman - Legislator Summit
What The Annual Summit is the most important event of the year for NASC members and partners to collaborate and devise a year-long strategy to advance a sportsmen s agenda in state legislatures. This meeting acts as an invaluable venue for focused discussion and interaction among state policy makers and the sportsmen s community. Why This year marks the 75th Anniversary of the highly successful Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Programs, and appropriately we will focus our attention on the American System of Conservation Funding. During this Summit we will examine potential threats to this System and discuss ways to ensure your state continues to receive this valuable source of funding. We will look closely at the role hunters, recreational anglers and shooters, boaters and trappers play in providing the vast majority of funding for state fish and wildlife agencies. We will explore the challenges sportsmen face and the strategies to solve them and enhance America s outdoor heritage. Where This year s Summit takes place at the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes on the sandy shores of Myrtle Beach, SC. The hotel is located just over 10 miles from the Myrtle Beach International Airport. All meetings and meals are on the grounds of the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes, which will serve as our launching point for all organized outdoor recreation. Whether you enjoy hunting, fishing, golfing, clay shooting or horseback riding on the beach, Myrtle Beach offers activities for everyone to enjoy.
